Mercury retrograde over today!

Communication planet Mercury goes retrograde in Aries from March 30 through April 23. The chatty planet will be pulled to a halt, and with the aggressive energy of Aries behind it, this could bring frustration as our desire for action is squelched.

Since Aries is the sign of the self, we??ll need to speak our own truth while preserving our important relationships at the same time. If we??re open to making mistakes and brave enough to try again, we??re sure to benefit from this retrograde.


Every sign will feel the impact but Aries, Libra, Capricorn and Cancer are more likely to have experiences that encourage them to grow. These signs may find that normal methods of communication don't work now. If they stay flexible, even-tempered and honest during this retrograde period, they??re sure to discover new ways of relating their thoughts.


Taurus and Virgo will feel more inclined to communicate non-verbally now, so it's best for them to wait until Mercury goes direct before having important relationship discussions. More progress can be made in understanding deep-set emotions rather than trying to push conversations.

Leo and Sagittarius should review plans for the days ahead. They need to make sure their heart and mind are in sync, and then revise creative ideas as new insights come to light.

Scorpio and Pisces should be assessing practical matters. If progress is going to be made, things need to change. Organizing information and making lists will help to bring order.

Gemini and Aquarius may need to move more slowly, factoring in others?? needs. This can be a good time to restructure friendships and community. Communication may involve some conflicts but by embracing challenges, friendships grow stronger.

I have been hearing about break-ups all over. My very good friend is a gemini dating a Libra guy for 5+ years. He just told her last week that he wanted to break up but stay "friends"...it says that Aries-Libra-Capricorn-Cancer were the most affected. I would love to hear your theories and to see if things get better next week

The site I quoted mentioned the retrograde affecting Arie-Libra-Capricorn-Cancer the hardest. Since my friend was dumped by her Libra BF, I posted it here..but my Aries best friend has been real bitchy this month too...lol

I was supposed to move in March but its been on hold because the new apt is not ready. So I hope I see the light at the end of the tunnel soon...also, I had a tiff with my best Aries friend because she has been so bitchy...ugh. I also reconnected with a past lover and things have been better than ever.

A friend of mine got dumped by a Libra too, only 5 days before Mercury went retrograde. We've learned since he went back to an ex. Madness.

Yesterday my itunes somehow managed to uninstall itself. I have no idea how that happened lol.

I think the retrograde did hit Libra the hardest then, what with mercury in Aries and all that.

Well me and the scorpio broke up during the retrograde. We've started talking again now. He was very silent then suddenly openned up close to the end of the retrograde and at it's end. No talk of getting back together, but we have remained friends and do talk on a daily basis

Yep, that's what happened to me with my best Aries GF...it seemed to really affect any Aries and Libras that i know. Did not really have any contact with Cancers in a while.

As a Aries I really enjoyed the Retrograde cos it forced me to do things I had been putting off and now I am centered and can proceed with a clear vision. Which is what Retrogrades are for. I ended a friendship with a Cap, my Sag and I became offical. I revisited 2 people that I had always been unsure about and if I wanted their friendship. 1 made the cut a Sag, and the other a Gemini did not. So I've offically tied up all the loose ends and I have no unfinished business. The Gemini just contacted me trying to make amends but I'm done with her once and for all. The Retrograde reveals true intentions and she's exactly who I thought she was however now she's trying to show a different side when the retrograde already revealed the real her and that was all the confirmation I needed.

Retrogrades can be a pain but they are indeed very important and I always utilize the are the Retrigrade falls in my chart which was my Sun so I had to make decisions on who I wanted to be in my life and the purpose they serve.

@Purple: It seems like you were able to handle things because you knew what was going on instead of fighting it. I was also affected by the retrograde, break-up of a 6 month relationship, tiff with an Aries friend (but made up), and a re-uniting with a friend/lover from last year. These all ended up being good for me in the end.
