Love is just an emotion. I have practical needs that need to be met in a partnership. can I trust you, can I depend on you, for the things I can't/won't do - can you compliment my weaknesses, is the sex good.

that all has to be met before I decide if a serious relationship is going to be started. Love will come later with the friendship.

any adult, that will jump into a relationship without a dating phase needs to be examined.
