It has long been my, and many others, opinion that the electoral college system is flawed.

Nevertheless, it IS the system that is presently recognized by the US Government.

Why should this matter?

This election cycle, the state of California has some 55 electoral votes, whereas other states are as low

as 4 electoral votes.

The easiest way to control the Government for multiple generations is to encourage a select group of society to move to certain states. For instance, California has long been known to be a dominantly Democratic state.

If you're a republican living in California, fat chance that your vote is going to count. Why? Because you've been overwhelmingly outvoted by the Democrats in your state.

Same holds true for other states and parties.

This is why, for the Democratic Party, it is so important to bring in more and more minorities (whether they be the traditional hispanic/latino or members from other regions of the world - think middle east, africa, asia, and europe) and... the diverse other "important to me" issue-sensitive people into this or that state.

Decades ago, the population demographics for the various states were very different. When you look at an electoral map, today, 100 years ago, a contemporary red state may well have been a blue state and stronghold.

Why the changes?

Very simple. Jobs.

The Great Depression caused a massive exodus from the heartland to the sunny California coast .

Google "The Grapes of Wrath" film.

At that time, the discrimination wasn't against someone from the southern US border, but those from a neighboring state. California farmers were flooded by thousands of "Okies" and their neighbors, who had lost their farms to the mighty dust storms that created what became known as "The Dust Bowl" and the banks. Refugees of Hard Times, if you will. Bear in mind, that these refugees were hit not only by a major natural disaster, but also the Stock Market Crash of 1929. The Dust Bowl added insult to injury for those American families.

Today, on a global scale, the refugees out of Africa and the Middle East are the "New Okies". And the US is being flooded with people that it cannot economically support, in light of the MASSIVE closures of factories all across the rust belt, to the glee of the likes of fear-mongering elitists who proclaim environmental impacts

and "sustainable growth" or anything "sustainability". Think about it... how many Walmarts and McDonalds or Liquor stores, etc, does a small town, or giant metropolis need? None of those enterprises contribute to the US GDP the same way as a factory that produces textile, steel, iron etc based products.

They don't.

So when the factories closed down, the people migrated to other states that remained factory-friendly, altering the demographics and the outcomes of elections.

There was a time when only those who owned land, could actually vote. Nothing at all, like it is, today.

Yeah the electoral system sucks, but apparently only when your candidate lose due to it

The Electoral College affects BOTH parties.

I should point out that rise and fall of voter turn-outs are due to a number of factors.

Usually, when the party fails it's constituents, the people revolt either by changing parties or electing not to vote at all. That's another contributing factor in every election.

Which party you support today, "may not" be the party you will support 2 or 4 years from now.

The reasons why you might change your mind can be as varied as the colors of the landscape, itself.

One thing is constant throughout history: People, by and large, lacking enduring strength, will fight when their bellies ache. If the bellies ache for food, they will fight, they will steal and they will kill.

A household of four, blessed with a father's healthy single income and stay-at-home mother can provide

a roof over their heads, two cars, delicious and plenteous food on the table, provided to a healthy boy and girl who are fortunate to attend a private school where education quality is high above public school standards, affording a straight shot to college and promising career in whatever dreams they dream had been "The American Dream". When that household becomes inundated with a deluge of negative influence and negative circumstances, the income may suffer, the food may diminish, the education may decline and the hopes and aspirations may look vastly different. We can't afford it, it costs too much... You will have to find your own way. Sometimes, suicide may enter into the picture, the mother is forced on welfare the picture gets uglier and uglier. The once heroic savior/government has eroded to a cancerous beast gnawing on every fiber of your being. You come to hate it and life itself. Morality and ethics and happiness long gone.

What's the point of living anymore? To survive, you seek out anything and everything to divert your mind off of your horrendous plight. You become an addict to whatever drug and life becomes a fog of existence.

That's what the liberal party wants for the masses. For decades, they've taught it in your schools, your libraries, your tv set, your radios, your newspapers and your internet. Whatever the communications outlet, they will seek to exploit it for the express purpose of spreading their poison in an effort to dumb down the masses.

On the other hand, the conservatives have a certain feature that seems to fertilize the fields of hostility.

Building up bigger barns to contain their treasures and their wealth. Why do they do this? Why, for their selfishness, do they invite the thief into their homes?

I think, in both cases, it is because they are blind. Blinded by pride. They don't even realize what they are doing. How their actions, affect other people. And those "other" people, know not how their own actions

affect other people, and so..... the disease spreads and multiplies and evolves and magnifies over and over and over and darkness falls across the whole world. And everyone suffers. Voting for this or that candidate, hoping he or she will save them and raise them out of their plight.

I pause and ponder.... America's weakness, it's Achilles heel, is it's promotion of it's vast amount of

freedom, without regard to the wisdom that maintains it. Because of this deep rooted condition, and because of the fact that this nation WILL remain divided, regardless the outcome, it can be expected that

the Tyranny, in high places, will see to it, that the mass enslavement will not only continue but spread across the globe. People may rejoice and dance the victory dance tonight, but they haven't yet considered what still lies ahead.

We have to remember that the elected came out of the sea of the masses. However corrupt they be, reflects

the corruption of that self-same sea.

When the land, (and it's natural resources), is possessed by the few, the masses will be dependent

upon those few.

I think about how the farmlands had been gobbled up from the family farmer and sharecroppers by the banks and resold and realigned by the corporations. Where once, many labored doing back breaking work in the hot sun, to standing on the dirt road watching an unmanned tractor tend the field.

There is a point when technology goes too far. And, already, in many ways, has already done so.

Whats left but a population of poor and hungry people?

They were too busy, partying, tonight.

Wholly ignorant of what I am talking about.

Shaking my head.

Bro I am not reading that
You're free to do whatever you want. BUT.... you're enslaved to the consequential accountability for whatever you do.

Whether you read it or not, is your choice and yours, alone.

No skin off my nose.

I learned a long time ago that you can bring a horse to water but you can't force it to drink.

The desert lies ahead, if it so chooses to die of thirst, then, so be it.

Thus be the consequences of rebellion.
