*Reads history* What a nasty break up, ouch.
To be honest astrology done right is like a weather report. Chance of rain. Chance of your computer being extra laggy and your family being extra whiny for a few days, etc.

Yet it seems that it`s image is all over the place. Usless, evily pagan or my favorite, astronomy is Totally fine, astrology is not cause Science! Reconsidering signing that contract during a mercury retrograde is worshipping the planets and not [x]!

Thoughts on this? How do you deal with this issuse, if at all?

Completely agree 100% . I read horoscopes and blogs about the current planetary conditions and view the possibilities as tendencies, potential. Different energies become available with different transits etc, Astrological interpretations are best not taken in black & white, one should accept the grey areas. Abstract thinking is helpful.

If an astrologer warns that you could have a negative interaction with a particular sign and they are very specific, one should understand that this situaton could play out maybe fifty different ways and if it does happen you may not even be completely aware of the situation.

I'm not bothered by naysayers. Their loss. *shrugs*

I think the old days's astrologers were paid by the kings/khans/emperors well. So they had time of their life to focus, consider and check every thing. And forecast.

Today's astrologers are paid by the middle class. Less focus, average results, no viral acceptance.

The kings of today do not need astrologers cause they know there are ups and downs anyway.

Religion itself has only praised astronomy. For example in "Job".
The religious office might have tolerated a few astrologers cause kings wanted to have them.

BTW which one is older?
religions rooted in arabian peninsula? Or Astrology?

1. Today with "religions" we often mean those rooted in the arabian peninsula.

2. Astrology belongs still to esotericism.

Religion can say what it will, they have burned scientist too. So what they say is not important at all. Fact is Religion goes this way: my way or high way.

But in the golden areas where semi-religious emperors (like khalifats) ruled, there was time for philosphers to talk about WILL and FATE. And some would discuss that Astrology is based on fate. Then the opponent would say, "if God knows everything beforehand, isn't it my fate?". The former said no you don't understand and brought more to the table. It took a while just because kings were not tired of it yet.

Look at the islamic nations. They keep a small amount of astrologers alive like it were "world cultural heritage". But if you wanna expand and get promotion, then you'll be punished. Either by the government, by people or by economy. Based on which country we talk about.

Also on YouTube I found Videos where indian rationalists were mad the rising number of activities of Astrology community. Does anybody know how Indian religions judge Astrology?

Innuendo, interesting mention about nephilim. I was going to mention (but then i forgot, because g moon,) that I was raised very religious and so the idea that they brought it makes me like 2% uncomfortable but I currently have no religious convictions. It's more of a lingering afterthought.

That's the non-canonical book I was talking about.
