If you are referring to a change in the weather patterns that will cause more and more extreme events to be witnessed across the planet and not just warming then yes it is real.
The question you have to ask though is; Does human activity have an effect on the changing weather patterns or is it all naturally occuring.
The answer to this is that there are natural changes to the weather pattern but human activity is causing those to become more and more extreme.

How to resolve the problem of human activity so that the weather patterns will not be so bad in the future?
Everyone reduces and stops certain activites and decides on away to bring about the the population to a more sustainable level as it is already too much for the planet to cope with.

If the population level was a lot lower no plants or animals would have been made extinct, no one would be living in hazardous/dangerous areas for instance at the foot of volcanoes or on flood plains etc. No one would be starving to death or dying from lack of clean potable water.

But mother nature will sort us out if we do not do something.

If you look at just one aspect, the more intensively a crop is farmed reduces the nutrients in the soil so the plants become more susceptible to disease.

Because of this the food we eat contains fewer nutrients, so people eat more and consume more and more calories, people end up having the energy but not the spark to burn it off. However fewer nutrients in the diet casues a weakend immune system combined with an increase in the density of the population, means that not only do diseases spread more quickly people have more trouble to fully recover.

The only realistic way is to either introduce a 'Bill of rights for the unborn child' (you can only have a child if you and your partner meet requirements x, y and z) or a total ban on births for a number of years.

Both of these though are highly emotive and people will complain about their rights to have a child but rights and freedoms are already being lost due to the number of people on the planet.

AS an aside:
Reincarnation either happens or it does not, using logic to state that it does occur would go something like:
The universe is perfect mankind is not perfect, if you combine something that is not perfect with something that is perfect you end up with someinthg that is not perfect.
Therefore we will have to keep reincarnating until we reach perfection, possibly at some point we will not need physical bodies but that is probably for another thread.

So if reincarnation is fact would you want to be born into the world as it is to day and if not what would like to see changed?
Or do you think that everything is perfectly acceptable as it is?
