Watching this video made me laugh I wonder how many American's he had in the audience foaming at the mouth in anger.

Probably not many, if at all. He touched on the real reason the amendment exists near the end of the video-the 800 pound gorilla in the room no one *ever* seems to want to talk about.

Then he flubbed it. There were privately owned sloops with cannon at the time of the Revolutionary War. They're why there is the obscure bit in the Constitution concerning "Letters of Marque and Reprisal". The muskets at that time were "state of the art" weapons.

For a more modern example of why the right to bear arms is so important:
Battle of Athens Tennessee
Or another:
Monroe, NC

As for the drones (read-superior military force) argument....

A small group turns a planned 3 day "liquidation" into a standoff that lasted more than a month:
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

38 Divisions of Axis Troops used to maintain control over Yugoslavia against less well armed partisans:
Yugoslavia Occupation WWII

"The Mujahideen proved to be a formidable opponent. They were equipped with old rifles but had a knowledge of the mountains around Kabal and the weather conditions that would be encountered there. The Russians resorted to using napalm, poison gas and helicopter gun ships against the Mujahedeen - but they experienced exactly the same military scenario the Americans had done in Vietnam."
Here: Soviet Occupation of Afghanistan

I know its comedy, and I did laugh at some of it, but he was off a bit on the "why" there is a strong sentiment on the right to bear arms.
