if you want to post a video clip on dxp from youtube or any other video streaming website just find the embed code and copy and paste it, on youtube the embed code is located by clicking on the embed button below the video, which should then bring up the (usually) long code.
if you want to upload a video onto youtube just click on the upload button located at the top your channel page and browse through your files and just simply select the video you wish to upload.
Toc showed me how to put a pic up the other day but I tried straight from a website today and it didn't work? Do I have to save to my computer first or a program like imageshack?
I've just bought a MacBook so I'm learning that too :/
Yes, indeed, I was having trouble getting dxpnet to recognize where I was pointing it. Operator error of course, but still.
What I did was to put my desired photo into my "images" folder here on dxpnet. I then had to hunt down that photo. What finally worked was the code:
The problem was that dxpnet kept telling me my photo was at:
http://www.dxpnet.com/users/profile.asp?username=dofacc<BR> if you can see the difference here. I had to hunt and hunt before I found the actual image reference for use. I hope I can find it again, though at this point in time I have not been able to.
Of course, if you were to locate your photo someplace besides dxpnet you would have a URL that you could plug in where mine says www.dxpnet.com/images/dnyhnxndbb95d5d.jpg. I had thought about doing this, but felt stubborn, and did it from inside dxpnet.
I tell ya', dxpnet is just a bit flaky when it comes to getting it to do what it is supposed to. The code that worked is:
A left pointing (less than) arrow, followed by "img src = "http://www.dxpnet.com/images/dnyhnxndbb95d5d.jpg" title = "disguised" alt = "Disguised as a Leo" />
Sorry about the mess, but what can I say. One of the things that dxpnet doesn't seem to want to do is to allow you to comment out your HTML. Oh well, probably a piece of cake for coders better than I.
