I love Christmas eve!

I think it is the most magical night of the year. The expectation in the air that something amazing is going to happen tonight brings back a childlike wonder and curiosity... the fire is crackling, I'm listening to my favorite Christmas song



and soon I will settle in with my glass of wine and watch my favorite black & white Christmas movie - Scrooge with Alastair Sim.

Tonight is always a powerful and exciting time for me. It's the same excitement we feel when we reconnect or remember something special, or when we visit a place that holds a strong energy. It's the excitement of a first kiss. It is the best night... one that doesn't focus on the religious or spiritual nature of the season, but rather on the emotional resonance of a time of year that is centered on the idea of sharing with others.

I LOVE Christmas. You know, this is the day where I do alot of reflecting on things and I agree the build up to Christmas day. I did alot of reflecting today. I'll be 25 on 25 -- holy cow! Time flies doesn't it ^_^.

We have a special Christmas dinner on Christmas eve and open our presents. I think it's a european thing (not british). Then go to midnight mass all sozzled.

we used to do the same but this year my Mom has been in hospital and was only released for a few hours on Christmas day. it was still the best Christmas ever though 🙂
