another one is "congratulations", even some of the most educated people spell it like "congradulations" and I'm like NOOOOOOOO

OH!! I KNOW!!!!!! Even though as FA pointed out, it's been a play of words, people don't get it and still spell it wrong. Another one is independent. Everyone always spells it independant.

IDK why I am like this. I don't mean to be and I NEVER correct anyone because it is rude, but inside I'm screaming NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

lol LeoLady, I am the exact same way! Simple misspellings of words, and especially specific ones, annoy the crap outta me...I guess some certain words being misspelled is ok, but for others, there is just no excuse! And I also get really annoyed by bad grammar...but that's a whole other story lol

LOL Feisty, me too! I can't help but always notice! My Mom is like that too. She's a Virgo..... so..... it fits for her. I guess I get it from her, IDK. I was always one of the top speller's in my class. And I HATE bad grammar as well. In college I was encouraged by my GC to pursue a degree in English and/or Literature based on my ACT scores. Of course, I didn't... went with business management and accounting (math related of which were my lower scores). Go figure. LOL.

But, I do use the words 'ain't, ya'll, and gonna' in everyday speech, but I NEVER incorporate it into my written or professional life. If I even suspect or question the spelling of a word, I will google it just to make sure I have it spelled properly. It's an obsession of mine. But, I'm very good at hiding it. Most people don't realize I am like that. 🙂

You've just used those words though ? 🙂

Yep, sho did! But, this isn't a forum where I project or promote my professional life. This is me being myself in everyday life and typing how I speak regarding the topic of conversation.

SMARTASS!!! 😄

mine is "woman" and "women". ppl will often interchange the usage on these 2. mostly i see "women" when they meant it to be used singularly. none of it is a big deal to me (even though i can be somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to my own spelling and grammar) as long as the point gets across.

Bet you're OCD or correctly put in alphabetical order for the real crazies CDO.... who cares and why stress when you understand what people are saying!! 😛

Shit! I'm so NOT OCD! Trust me! I don't stress out about it either. I was just bored and pointed out something that irritates me from time to time, that's all. 😄
