EEE, what the hell are you on about now?

One last thing, why is it that people dont help out when it comes crime?

Last night at the flat where I'm staying, some guy was screaming for help saying somebody was on his window, everybody woke up, but nobody came out. This morning everybody was talking about the events of last night, asking each other what happened when neither of them came out to find out why. I stayed in too lol because I was alone, but I was curious as hell. Anyways, the 'somebody' turned out to be a bird that was locked in lol. But it still amazes me that not even 1 single person came out, what if it was a real crime taking place?

There is something to be said about blasting out of your house in your boxers holding a gun like edward norton in american history x lulz jk!

I see no wrong with snitching but its not my thing. Dont care enough to waste my time snitching.

but if you were a victim of crime yourself, wouldnt you be grateful if somebody snitched about it so you can get whatever was taken back? Plus im curious as to why you see it as a waste of time, dont you wanna live in a community where people help each other?

I don't involve police, personally. Not because I'm a hardass or anything of the sort.

I've just never seen the police get involved and make a situation better, or come up with a solution.

I would rather deal with it myself.

do you help others out too?

I certainly try but like Real Talk said, depends on the crime. Sometimes you can do your version of helping and actually it only makes things worse because you didn't have all the information.

can you please answer the Q i asked her?
Personally i wouldnt involve myself in a domestic quarrel. I'd let the wife/GF spend a night at my place, but thats as far as ill go. Plus ive noticed that many people dont involve themselves in things like that too. Most let the man beat the crap out of his woman, again i always wondered why.

I've had three very bad crimes committed against me that I wish I had reported to the cops at the time that they happened.
Either way I didn't but hopefully I'll learn my lesson oh wait I did learn my lesson. I got my decals stolen a few days ago
and I reported it and got a new one and I learned something new in the process. I still need to buy that license
plate protector.

Yeah, that's a good example. I had an example like that happened to me last year.

Community-wise, I had an example two years ago. I live on a private compound and my neighbour rents out his house to about 4 lodgers.

One night this guy was outside pounding on the door. He would not go home. Turns out he thought one of the lodgers was in there with his girl. And actually I heard the girl come to the balcony and mouth off to him. So I came out (more for the sake of the neigbours and my sleep, but obviously cos I felt bad this guy was getting bagged on) and brought this guy into my house. Wasn't exactly easy since he was drunk and aggressive, but eventually got him in the kitchen to get some water down him and sober up.

Anyway, guy comes back a few hours later with his local dealer and spins some story about how his friend is good for the money and they try to force their way into the house.

That turned into a bit of a battle royale.

The incident last year, four people were getting into it in the park and I got involved to try and break it up. Only the way it happened in the end, I found out too late that two people were husband and wife.

I don't get involved if people are married. That's their business, and wearing the cape for someone will often only end up making it worse long after you've come and gone from the scene. You can't be there to know if the whole public scene only led to even more abuse/stalkerish behaviour/revenge afterwards because you got involved. It's not worth going there. Lives can get lost.

i get it, tiz, but its still a sad case that people, especially men, dont get involved when someone is being abused. It makes me think if they'd do that if the female was a relative or if their female relative was in a similar situation would they want somebody else to intervene etc.

When i was about 10, a neighbour was strangled to death by her husband with a wire and locked in. They fought a lot & nobody cared. They had a baby. About 2 days past & the baby was screaming inside because of hunger etc and when they broke the door they found her trying to breastfeed from her dead mother. It was sad.

It really is a matter of the woman or man deciding that they've had enough.

true, but does that mean we should all fold our arms at the time being and let them get whooped? Besides, many women have reasons that make them remain in their situations a)they have nobody or nobody cares. Your problem kinda thing b)shelters are overflowing and there's no funding, ETC..

its sad how we all seem to live in our own bubbles when it comes to crime involving other people. Its like 'im safe and okay, who cares?' and not knowing what could happen should we 1 day step outside of our homes & experience what a lot of people have to go throu on a daily basis. Would it hurt if you were to be jumped on and people just pass by as if nothing was taking place?

Yeah that's a good point, thinking about what if it happened to my family. I don't know. I only have one sister - she claims she's been in a domestic violence situation where she hit and was hit back - I didn't know about it at the time and she only said this retrospectively. I didn't feel too much towards that. I love her but we're not close.

And then I have my mother who yeah, I would defend to the death. Even if someone was only shouting at her. I would.

But I'm not a big guy or anything. I've rarely got into fights, let alone ones I've started.

Anytime I go in to a confrontation I am scared. I think everyone is. I know I am. But what's the alternative, NOT do anything? And the police aren't a great alternative either.

i guess its better to pretend that its just WWE then lol..its live wrestling.

Only time I've gotten authorities involved related to animal abuse. I'd do it if I suspected a kid was being hurt or molested too obviously.

I used to associate with a lot of people from society's underbelly and I've seen some of the things that *some* police can do and I'm not entirely trustful of the force.

what is the solution then, take law into our own hands? Do tell, did you date a mafioso? I'd love to date a guy on a top 10 most wanted list lol. Its as sexy as hell & i wouldnt report him either lol. I have a Bonny & Clyde complex if there's any lol.

Yes I have been with someone heavily into unsavoury activities but I didn't know about 85% or so of them, not until later anyway. And I probably still don't know about all of them and don't care to know anymore. He didn't tell me so as to protect me (so he said), and I actually do believe him. Might not have been the whole reason why 😛 but I think it certainly was part of it.

Hahah, sucks to be a pretty boy in prison. A few years before I met my ex-f he had been to prison. He was very "pretty" and made a point of fucking a couple of people up within the first day of being there in order to show everyone he wasn't a bitch.

lmao, but im sure they never feel safe thou incase any dude is eyeing the lovely lumps & i dont think they'd tell if they were somebody's bitch in there, bending it like beckham lol.

Lol I was only engaged to the one aries 😛 I still have the ring. I would pawn it off but the resale on diamonds is so insignificant that there isn't much point. I tried to give it to him but he threw it at my head.

lol @ 'he threw it at my head'. you should have shove it where his own head is, up his ass. I know them well lol. So, do you wear it or just stare at it? You should get it converted into something else.

I understand why he was upset, but yeah it's funny to me to remember now and probably is to him as well. Wasn't at the time but now it's hilarious... I haven't looked at it in years. My dad put it somewhere, probably in his safe. My dad also gave him his car because he felt that bad and my ex was like the son he never had.

wait a minute, who gave who a car? I dont know if im getting it right..your dad gave aries a car OR aries gave your dad a car which your dad returned when you two split? Which?

Oh my ex refused to take the ring back. He had completely relocated from NZ and my family was essentially the only family he had and my dad loved him and felt terrible that we broke up so dad wanted to make sure he was taken care of or w/e so he gave him his car to make things easier. I don't know, it's between those two and my dad is a soft touch... The ex ended up getting a bunch of speeding fines though and never changed the rego so my dad was getting fines and warnings in the mail on a fortnightly basis. My ex had zero respect for the law and several identities so there wasn't much we could do but dad just told the RTA it wasn't his anymore. Even if I wanted to track my ex down now (which I don't) it would be virtually impossible unless he let himself be found.

aww, thats so sweet of your dad to do that, ninja. Humanity still lives after all. Thats a genuine nice thing to do. Much respect to your dad.

what happened in those instances?

Gym setting instances. Wanted to cancel their membership but were under contract. Threw everything off my desk so I chuck as stapler at her. I was surprised I hit her too, in the leg. That is that instance when I see purple....she wouldn't leave after that so I told her I was going to call the police. She left.

Then another instance where a woman came in calling me a racist. wtf lol. Um NO. She was ranting and raving about how I said this or that, she took it totally out of context too. I had to threaten her to leave and she finally did.
Racist smh.

lmao @ the stapler incident. Reminds me of slim-shady's lyrics about stapling nuts on a desk or w/e with a stapler. Ouch

Do you a)turn a blind eye to crime or b)report it? Why?

Plus, do snitches really get stitches?

No..I don't turn a blind eye. Why? Take a look at the economic downfall many are suffering from because of the lack of whistle blowers. Either the whistle blowers are paid to keep their mouths shut, or they are just simply cowards. To turn a blind eye to any level of evil is as bad as the people perpetrating the evil. Two major issues came out this week. One being the Rutgers Coach and the schmuck that covered for him, the other (and the list is growing daily) the New York mayoral race. Six so far arrested. Disgusting:
A high-ranking Democratic New York State senator was arrested on Tuesday and charged with trying to buy a place on the Republican ticket in the city's mayoral race, in what prosecutors said was part of a bribery scandal that reflected pervasive corruption in New York politics.

Five other politicians, three Republicans and two Democrats, were also arrested and charged with collectively accepting more than $ 100,000 in bribes in meetings that often took place in parked cars, hotel rooms and state offices, according to court papers.

I don't think a civilian would deserve retaliation . Plus it would be too obvious who was responsible. Maybe down the line I send someone to do something

I would never turn a blind eye even if I didn't want to get involved. That's why you can always call 911 at the very least, but turning a blind eye in my opinion is just unacceptable.

No one ever has to get involved or put themselves in harms way and play hero to something criminal, but to do nothing and not even call the police is just not cool.

Also, I've been taught in most situations, that it's best NOT to assume others are calling the police because EVERYONE assumes that, and maybe no one has really done it.

It depends on the crime.

why? Isnt crime still crime? Which would you report and which will you pretend never happened?

Yes it's still a crime, but I'm not bothered by certain felonies/misdemeanors. Such as being a street pharmacist, grand theft (boosting, stealing), certain types of fraud, selling alcohol to underage kids...I can really care less. Things like vandalism, arson, robbery, murder are more serious.
