First, it's all settled that I have Chinese blood. My father was able to trace a Chinese ancestor. We were able to locate his grave in a local cemetery. He was born around 1830 and died in January 1920.
On my mother's side, they have the reputation of having both Chinese and Spanish ancestry. My grandfather appears similar to other Tornatras (Filipinos of Chinese and Spanish descent). My grandmother, on the other hand, has deep set eyes common among Spanish mestizas and Latinas.
My grandfather's mother, Lola Gansing, was said to be of Spanish ancestry. Her skin was of light complexion, she has pointed nose with tall nose bridge, round eyes, long eye lashes, and curly black hair (something that's common among Spanish women).
Many of my mother's relatives do not look like other pure Filipinos. Their skin color are pinkish-white, they have pointed noses, and rounder "smiling" eyes (some slanted because of Chinese ancestry) similar to that of Arielle of Little Mermaid.
Among the siblings, I was the only one who inherited my grandfather's genes. Both my siblings do not look like me.
Here are some photos of me:
I'd want to know my accurate ancestry test. It's been puzzling me for so long.
