The most horrible period in my life lasted from around June 2001 to around March 2004, that was about 2 1/2 years, just as long as a Saturn transit. I was hoping to find out where Saturn transited during that time but I couldn't find a reliable site. @_@ My Saturn is in Sagittarius btw.
