That one time my dad threw out a perfectly good plate of food bc he's such a clean freak like his mother...

He has a tendency to touch things. He just recently threw out a bag my mom told him not to touch but she left it where it was too long and he just threw it out. My baby pictures and my moms credit card information were inside!

My Sag mother accidentally did this... except it was school/class pictures from kindergarten all through elementary. I still hold it against her to this day tbh.

My Cap father once got upset at me and violently threw my laptop. I cried. And then he bought me a new one two days later...

Oh lawdy, where to begin...

Most of mine are from work because I deal with the general population.

Most recently, we had a surprise engagement. The only people who didn't know were the soon bride to be and her father since he couldn't keep a secret. We all went out to see because he ended up proposing BEFORE dinner. The look on her face had us all a bit anxious because she looked like she was going to say no. She looked more angry than surprised and happy. But she did say yes.

Cue to last week when my coworker texted me a screencap of this chick's instagram. She was poking around pics that had been tagged at our restaurant's location and came across hers. Apparently, she was under the impression it was a going away party for her parents before they went back overseas and her immediate thoughts were upset because how dare he ruin their dinner. It was about her parents. Basically, "how dare you ruin my parents' dinner and made this about us!" was her first thought.

She then hashtagged something about selling the ring to pay off her car. It was a Tiffany's ring.

...Coworker and I were both very o.O about it. Strangest reaction to an engagement.

My first mother's day at this place was a mess. I picked up a party during transition and there was supposed to be split checks. Some people wanted to leave before the rest of the party so I got their checks going.

But when it came time for the rest of the check to be divvied up, cue the insanity.

Several bitched about how much their checks came out to, despite prices being on the menu.

Some bitched about their food and many REFUSED to pay for a shit ton of food on the bill for whatever crazy fuck reason. I had never seen something so bizarre in my life. The entire check was like $ 300 and there was like $ 100+ in food they were refusing to pay for. Then they wanted their desserts for free because all these magical problems immediately appeared when it came to their food.

So yeah, go out to eat, order a ton of stuff, and then refuse to pay for a good portion of it. I really wish my managers had thought to call the police, tbh.

Another bit of crazy-
We had a guy working there who had lost his mom earlier this year. He was a bit weird, and her death affected him pretty badly. He comes in on his day off, goes into the bar, breaks a glass on the bar and tries to slit his wrists right there in the middle of the bar.

Less dumbass more wtfery with that one.

I had a party of 15 coming in. We set up the entire table, ready to go for the party. There were only three of them and we usually wait til most of the party is there before seating. They demanded to see where they'd be seated, which was out on the patio. Immediately, they demand all the plates be changed because *gasp* they'd been outside. Then they demanded that they be allowed to sit at the table despite the party being there. Fine whatever. They claimed the rest of the party would be there soon.

FORTY FIVE MINUTES LATER, the rest show up. This fucked up everything forever because they were holding off on seating that section because the party was supposedly going to be there.

I'd brought out bread service because they said the party was going to be there soon. Nope. Then when the rest showed up, they demanded I throw away all the untouched bread and bring out fresh bread. They also took another half hour or so to order because they wanted to sit and socialize for a bit.

Taking the drink order was a total headache, nobody was paying attention.

Rude. As. Fuck.

Bill total was $ 400. I think I sold like 7 ribeyes and the kitchen was even surprised/impressed that many were being ordered for one table."How much is the check?? Dayum!"

One guy insists on taking the check.

Five. Dollar. Tip. The service was perfect, food came out perfect, and so on.

Tbh, I wasn't surprised. Given the culture they were from, I saw it coming from a mile away. They were rude, needy, and of course they wouldn't even tip.

Five dollars for holding up an entire section of the restaurant, being incredibly rude to the waitstaff, nevermind the surrounding guests who were also really annoyed by them.

I am always amazed at the utter selfishness and rudeness I see daily. Whether it be shit like this or people just being rude to others at their own table (I'M ready to order!" Cool story bro, the rest of the table isn't so how about you wait while I go get drinks, yeah?).

...one of my coworkers had a butter chip thrown at her by some racist fuck table, calling HER racist because she brought them all wheat bread (they were black). She said she'd go get them another server and as she walked away, they threw it at her and it hit her in the face. Thankfully we have managers who don't tolerate that shit and they got kicked out.

The other day I saw a dad grab a linen from the linen pile, wipe his kid's face with it, leave it on the counter and walk on out side, like it was no big deal. No apology, no thank you, nothing.

"Um, excuse me, but.... I don't know what this is! There aren't any pictures in the menu!"

"What's in a BLT?"

"I want a cheeseburger with no cheese."

"Do you have strawberry pie??" (in the middle of winter)

Overall, you'd be amazed how much people have NO idea what they're ordering or how little they know about food generally. It's pretty disturbing and sad. Don't get me started on the pseudo gluten free people...

So she said yeah. Then spite him by selling it? Isn't she meant to return the ring since she's a fucktard?

She was jokingly hashtagging something like canwesellitsoicanpayoffmycar?

She didn't actually sell it, but we both thought it was a really weird reaction to have in regard to being engaged. Most women are like "omg a TIFFANY RING? IT'S SO PURDY!!" *shows it off*

She's all "let's sell it so I can pay off my car!"

...

My manager was like "yeah that marriage won't last long..." He's been married 3 times haha.

I was about 14 and the summer holiday had just started so as usual I went to my uncle's house in a rural village area. Everyone knew that my uncle was a wizard and he used to heal people with his techniques. I hadnt seen him do anything though. So I was inside my uncle's house reading a book when suddenly he called my name. I went outside to see what's up and I couldnt believe what I saw. He had a giant cobra lying on his palm of hands. It was looking directly towards his eyes and it felt like they were talking. His eyes were closed and he was uttering some gibberish words not of my native language. Then he opened his eyes and asked me to hold the snake and pray alongside him. He said that the snake was the protector of the house and it was harmless. I was so scared I ran inside the house as quickly as I can.

Your dad is a Libra right?

Because mine does the same thing too sometimes. Never clarifies shit with us and just tosses them out because they're an eyesore to him.

My Aquarian bestie is such a dumbass she thought she was a Pisces until I told her, well her mums the dumbass actually because she told her

My Aquarian friends name is stiffy and she's like Elaine bennace from Seinfeld......the first time she comes to my house with a couple of friends and they all meet my mother who is white for the first time and she steps back out the door, goes around the corner to call her sister and she says "guess what! I just met 11th's mum......she's not black!!!"
