Vacuums...

Kay so this is like totally not what we usually talk about lol, but the vacuum store is closed and I don't have another day to get down there when they're open till Thursday. Anyone got any idea why my kirby is leaving clumps of hair on the floor (I have a dog)? Its like more hair than the section of floor had on it to begin with. I just checked it and unclogged it, put on a new bag.. *frustrated*

Turn it on and lay it down. Is the bar/pole with the bristles moving? Make sure hair didn't wrap around it and stop its movement. You may also have to take some apart and follow the suction path and make sure it's not clogged up.

Idk if you can see the arrows or if they showed up? But I cleaned out the hair from all the tubes/holes, and it DOES still spin. But you can see the clumps of hair too...

Did you get where the bag goes into the base?

Ya I stuck a clothes hanger through it up to where the bag attaches.. the only thing left that could have hair in it is the motor and idk how to clean that..

If the removable face is clean & clear, and the hose area is good, hopefully you find something in that part of the base. If not there is a plate on the base that is removable.

when it was together was there any suction?

Not coming from the bag down.

Once the back is unhooked and pushed away, the piece it attaches to into the base.

Sigh. Yeah, no luck. Couldn't get the plate off though, its way complicated. Might just have to wait till thursday and take it in.

I think I got it unclogged for a second but it clogged up again? Brand new carpet (fibers) and dog hair don't mix well.

Anyone else find all this domesticity speak mildly arousing? Must just be me. Back to our regularly schedule programming.
