Personally I enjoy all the food on the food pyramid. As a omnivore I feel all food the earth has to offer is important to the human body. In balance of course. Too much or too little of anything is a bad thing.

In the end people can eat what they want. It's their life, so live it how you want to.

There's nothing good about meat, it's a drug, because it's poison, it burdens your system.
Quit it for a few months and see for yourself.

    Thats a bit much.

Don't answer back!!! You little bastard kid!!!! Fvk off to ya room!

As I said in my first post on this thread, I don't believe full veganism is for everyone even though a plant-based diet can have great health benefits for many. Compare your medical check-up results of cholesterol, vitamins, minerals before and after implementation of a plant-based diet and you will see it for yourself, I'm not asking you to believe me. Rather than advocating for veganism, I'd prefer if people truly start evaluating their own relationship with food and how their emotions, rather than conscious choices, play a role in it. In other words..your unhealthy food choices actually just emphasize much larger emotional and possibly psychological issues that should be dealt with, not pushed to the background by eating butter because it gives people a quick and temporary relief.

Perhaps its not as complicated as a psychological issue but more they like the taste.

Not everyone shares your personal judgement that steak, chicken and fish and eggs is butter food.

It's not taste, it's habit. Gradually switch to a vegan diet, it's the same, just your habits will have changed...

Taste or habit, their preference is to continue eating it because they enjoy it. Again, it's a personal preference. It's not a psychological issue, it's not because their mothers dressed up as a cow one Halloween, it's a personal choice they have made. It drives you nuts doesn't it that people have different opinions to your own.

It's not the same!!!! If it's habit, theres No justification for it!!! You can simply get used to something else!!! Have you seen how much those animals suffer???? Get real you treetrunkin selfish idiot!!! Wake tf up!!!!

jesus, are you being sponsored by exclamation marks? get a pound for every one you use?

this is the crux of the matter. people simply don't care or they don't feel that an animal's suffering is that bad because it has no understanding of its life. they don't agree with your value judgements.

it's a difference of opinion where they value their needs (ie a meal they enjoy consuming) above an animal's experience of its life (the conditions which an animal lives and dies).

as someone said to me many many moons ago "god put animals on the earth for us." people feel that while we are for the most part, on top of the food chain, humans have a right to eat another animal if they wish.

you feel it is selfish but for them, these animals are bred to be slaughtered. why feel bad when they serve their purpose? they see little difference for us to eat animals when lots of animals eat other animals. it's the way of the world.

now, if you don't mind, stop being so treetrunking hysterical.

Yup, people thought earth was the center of the solar system for a long time too. Now they just think they are the center of earth.

Opinions are subjective. Everyone is entitled to have its own but not everyone should be respected for it. Much like i dont respect jihadists who base their opinion on ignorance and destructive philosophy based on false facts, i cant respect the "personal choice" of non vegans, because for the majority of meat-eaters their decision is neither personal (they were thought to eat meat when young, much like religion), nor informed (ignorance and weak will is the source of this choice for most).

As an american physician once said "I am vegan just because there isnt a constructive argument eating meat is better in any way"

I get your reasoning, but why the juxtaposition "vegan vs omnivore" when the first is just a subset of the latter? That's the issue, the labelling of omnivores as "meat-eaters" when reality suggests they like them veggies just like vegans.

If anything, it's arguably the opposite: a vegan is the same as an omnivore, who doesn't eat meat and other types of food.

    Vegans arent omnivores.

They were, before deciding they were not.

Ah, you mean because they are humans?

Maybe, its debatable. Many physicians and scientist argue that we have the physiology of a herbivore and the mentality of an omnivore.

You may laugh at the village idiot vegan, there is always one. Being a village idiot has nothing to do with being vegan or non-vegan. You may however laugh at vegans in general and hold them in contempt, call them militants, freaks, nutjobs, etc. Though underneath it all there is also often jealousy and admiration in varying degrees. Vegans show the type of self-restraint, self-will and determination that most meat worshippers would love to have in their lives and envy about those who do show those qualities.

I am not a village idiot vegan. Im a regular vegan, YOU are not a vegan!!!! You're an apologist treetrunk!!!!

Take a look at the cruelty you treetrunken retard!!!!!

Chill mate, you cant save your "friends" with this behavior. Quite the opposite, you can make more people eat them Big Grin

Aggression and force are a weak tool.

They work well for you!!!! You massacre 60 billion animals a year....agression and force are a strong tool apparently...you low life treetrunkwit !!!!
Take a look at what you do!!!!!

    Take a treetrunkin look!!!!!!!!

Is it possible for non-vegans to discuss this topic normally, without either joking about it or becoming immediately aggressive?

    😎

I'd say the most aggressive one right now is probably a vegan and he isn't willing to see any pov other than his own, imo.

NO!!!! I TREAT BOTH EXACTLY THE SAME!!!! I DONT KILL THEM YOU STUPID treetrunk!!!!

No matter how morally justified you are, in the end it still comes down to individual's choices...and you have no control over that.

If you want to try to persuade people, yelling is the last thing I would do.

    IMO

Ok, 2 things : the first you are saying, even tho it is morally wrong, you're still gonna have trouble convincing people, especially the more sadistic ones, just like slave owners and wife beaters.

Second thing, yelling is a bad method.
Well pardon me for wanting to get the message across with more incisiveness, they are, after all, being BRUTALLY MURDERED EVERY SECOND!!!!!
    Idiot!!!!
