I have been inspecting some financial paperwork that is anywhere from 2014 to 2017 and have notice some errors, mistakes and poor practices.

I feel that contacting the related clients anonymously to nudge them to audit in a certain direction, might highlight and encourage my employer to expedite and address these issue sooner.

These issues have been highlighted by many in the past and fell on deaf ears. Maybe this will force the higher ups to actually implement good/best practices that were rejected in the past.
