There's very few people in here who actually need shaking, and they are usually the same ones over and again ... so much for people believing they are learning life lessons. Thankfully, most people wake up immediately and step away to never snivel about it again.

It's funny to think how worried people are of what others think about them. If they only knew the amount of time people even spend thinking of them at any given moment is slim.

And I agree with P. It's a very old school view.

The problem with today and everyone being told to be so falsely democratic about everything is that we all get a shot at being indignant over the smallest non-issue.

And the most damaging side effect of that is some people grow up never being challenged to find respect for themselves. It's scary to think some people have grown up without even getting to enjoy knowing what self-respect even feels like.

So I would definitely say treat people as they deserve. It's just called having a sense of dignity.

Some people need to be shaken again and again, all because they lie to themselves or don't even realize they're doing something wrong.. And because of this they don't see possibilities in criticism, and eventually don't learn from it.
That's why they'll start defending themselves and even start acting like the one that criticizes is wrong. I must add that I'm guilty of doing this shit too though.
