Meaning of moon returning to your sign??

So... I have this horoscope app and I've been noticing that under the Love horoscope, everytime the moon returns to my sign, it talks about tension in whatever aspect of my life, in this case, the relationship aspect. Why does the return of the moon to my sign create tension? What exactly does that mean? I'm just curious, thanks!

Like today it says: The Moon's return to your sign today might not push any buttons right away, but over the coming days this is likely to create some personal and/or relationship tension. Yet instead of something to fear this is something to embrace, for it's over the next few days that your relationship expectations for the coming year will be defined.

The sign of Cancer is ruled by the moon. Since you're a Cancer sun, the Cancer moon will conjunct your Cancer sun and perhaps give it more power.

But the thing is this... there's a thought that Cancer suns and moons become loony, lunatic, moonstruck when the moon returns to it's home. It's worse under a full/new moon. I won't say I disagree. 😄

Thank you so very much for answering. Today I just literally checked out from life. I stayed in bad all freaking day and journaled so much about this unattainable man that and cried it out and coddled myself all day. This was in spite of having 3 classes, a lunch date with friends, my recent ex that I remain amicable with inviting me out, and other tasks to attend to today. None of that mattered because I simply had the blues. When my friend asked what was wrong, I said I was taking a mental health day and needed some me time, my reason: "Lovesickness."

I could not function today and didnt even try. I felt like a depressive lunatic. Thanks Moon you're such a treat.

Mind you, I am not PMSing. I am on the 13th day of my cycle so right smack in the middle and about to ovulate. As every woman knows, that means I should have been miss social butterfly today and full of energy and sassy and flirty. But nope, you would think I was about to ride the crimson wave you saw the condition I was in today. I'm still feeling low, but not as bad probably because I babied the hell out of myself today.m
