Posted by ImpulsvI think the fact that both the characters were unsympathetic made it 'deeper' than most shitty love stories out there starring flawless people.
I didn't like it
Felt it lack depth
Seen better lve stories

Posted by ManilaViceHow can you even compare them? Scarface was a good movie.
what is worse a guy with a scarface poster in his room or the notebook poster?

The cinematography is beautiful, the acting is good, the music is very moving, its the damn storyline that makes me pull my hair out. I think it was because it is so cliche.
The male lead hangs himself from a ferris wheel and basically threatens the girl to date him. He spends his days after breaking up with her...building a house for her, she goes and sleeps with him WHILE she's engaged to someone else. I couldn't break away from reality to take this seriously and yet, every woman I know is just in love with these characters who did the most dumb shit things. I feel like a total outsider cause I cannot for the life of me get swept up in the characters and the situation.
I'd be PISSED if a guy approached me the way it happened in the movie. For some reason though I did like the scene where they lay on the road and wait for a car to come. Good way to get an adrenaline rush.
Is there anyone else who just couldn't get caught up in this movie? Or am I in the minority here? Lol
