True for me - the rain, the big trees, and the water. This song is about 1 young woman who 'accidentally' tried to smuggle drugs into Turkey. This woman put in Turkish prison for life is from my home town.

"Outside the window the day begins in the winter way I begin another day of my life

I look out of the window, have dream on my eyes

And Grochów ( district) wakes up from the drunkenness

The drunk alcohol is beating in the arteries

The bus wades in the snow behind the glass

I'm watching the capital of the concrete

I'm already on the other side

When I look into your eyes, as tired as mine

Then I love this city, as tired as I am

Where Hitler and Stalin did what they did

Where spring breaths flue gas

Krakowskie Przedmieście is sun-drenched, you spin like a cloud, emerge from the gate and I am hungry, so hungry

Dear, will you feed me with dreams

The green Żoliborz (district), fucking Żoliborz it blossoms on the trees, on the shrubs

Completely drunk on the sewage from the river I want to scream, want to roar, want to sing!

When I look into your eyes, as tired as mine

Then I love this city, as tired as I am

Where Hitler and Stalin did what they did

Where spring breaths flue gas

In the autumn school always begins, in pubs drinking begins.

It's crowded and stuffy, the waiter ignores us, we'll end up at dawn anyway.

In the autumn I always think about the years as old as those tenements

In the autumn at dusk I'm walking with you through the streets full of the chestnuts

When I look into your eyes, as tired as mine

Then I love this city, as tired as I am

Where Hitler and Stalin did what they did

Where spring breaths flue gas. "

Warsaw

I like the cadence and imagery and the matter-of-fact way it's sung. My buddies in college had a band named Krakow. They were actually really good (rock/jam band) but made only one album and broke up.

This is classic polish rock. Whomever you ask will know this 🙂 if you like rock I can recommend few more good bands from old days 🙂
