Plus that I can't listen to people calling me shy.... It gets to my nerves, I have tried soo hard to change it and it doesn't change

From personal experience, it's from being very self-conscious, scared of saying the wrong thing and being perceived as awkward. You don't turn into a social butterfly overnight, but letting up of those fears and some self-acceptance can be a step to the right direction.click to expand

I have read that shyness comes from being rejected early in life. For me for example I had some stupid kids in elementary school that made fun of me. I used to not give a crap back then but after junior high I wanted company so I had to interact with them.

Posted by Mujer_latinaFor me I am shy and a woman.. Double of a problem in dating. I don't think men are yet relaxed and satisfied with women chasing them. Also I am not into more shy people than me. I fall for people that are more extroverted and cool always.
Now shy people. do you usually chase?
what if you're into an even shier person? what do you do? then you're kind of forced to chase
