Do Introverts Usually Initiate Phone Conversations?
Introverts often prefer to initiate phone calls less frequently and may need more time to respond. They value personal space and tend to communicate on their own terms, which can include brief replies or delayed responses. Understanding their boundaries helps maintain respectful communication without misinterpreting their behavior.
He says that he is an ambivert. But to me his introversion is more prominent.

I think it would depend on how much of an introvert one is. I'm an introvert to an extent but nobody would ever know it because I come off as extroverted.
So you're saying that depending on the level of his introversion, it is normal for him not to initiate?!

im an introvert but texting just doesn't work for mecoz i always tend to offend the other person
it takes forever for me to respond and i reply at very odd, weird times lol coz i probably fell asleep or be doing something
but i also don't initiate calls coz i don't know the right time to call, i don't wanna be a bother
so i wait for a call then it doesn't matter if im mumbling sleepily on the phone or whatever.. it's more personal to me this way

ive been upfront about my nature when it comes to communication with my boyfriend
he used to be fond of sending me walls and walls of texts like they're love letters until he realized that id rather hear him breathing on the phone
im okay with pms from other people but if we're gonna get involved
we're gonna puke our feelings out with our real, actual voices

if i am in a mood, i wont answer. she calls me often and vice versa. we talk on the phone a few times a week. if she didnt call me/ return my calls for like 2 weeks, best believe i'd be asking her why she hasnt called me lol

Is it their nature to keep a distance like this?

i dont feel like i have to justify my moods to anyone, unless it concerns them. moodiness is part of my everyday life. sometimes fleeting, sometimes an extended stay, sometimes full on depression.
i always make sure to stay on good terms with my friends so when i do dip out, they know it isnt them. the close friends understand.
i will call back when i feel like talking. again, i dont wanna put my moodiness on anyone if it isn't about them.
bff is a cap w/ cancer & aqua placements so, she gets me.

I am the same way in a sense that I rarely do txt or calls. Just this year I was semi forced into getting a cell phone to call n txt, keep up w family.
I prefer face to face its more real & authentic w less misunderstandings to me, even, if it means they're likely to see & hear less of me. Im really independent & unclingy so neediness can be very annoying to me unless your imidiate family.
See you when I see you, is my motto in a non threating way.

My thing is a long distance thing. So meeting up is not really an option for us.
It depends on the situation with some people as Jayceon stated. I'm one of the most introverted people most of the time but if I see a reason to get involved then I will. But after that is over I'm right back to silence as if I had never said anything at all.
Introverts can be nasty little narcissists. Yuck
