To spend the night together, even if sex didn't happen is a serious situation.
You make it sound like you were just friends one day and then the next, you're in his bed. It doesn't work that way. People grow on each other, people pick up on the vibes around them ... people know when the other person is into them and responding accordingly.
Well, except for you, of course. You would sleep in the same bed with him and be so dense that nuances of you two being a couple could swirl around the whole room in hurricane force winds .... and you would come to a forum and say something like ....
