Posted by CaptainPimpI think she's being needy for attention because her marriage isn't working out and seeking me out to help surround her with people that we both know, but she knows better than to approach straight on, because they would dismiss her.
hey, haha i say that too ! 'my spidey sense is a tingalingling' !!

Whats her sign?

Posted by ScenicI'm not ending the friendship. We're like sisters, BUT that doesn't mean that I'm obligated to be pulled into whatever chaotic/manic state she's embarking on. She's tagged me in about...8 damn pictures from a road trip we took like...4 damn years ago. *sighs*. Thank God I'm not swayed by "flattery". It's crazy, because it's like...yes, I know your bday is coming up, but damn....what in the hell is going on. Everyone has bdays and usually if it's something like a milestone bday and someone wants to be celebrated, their significant other puts something together or they do it themselves. I know I did that for my 40th. I got with two other people who had the bdays the same date. One was turning 30. We threw an epic combined party with people from ALL walks of life. One of the bday people had pre-funk drinks and parking at her house within walking distance of the venue. Then the next night, I went out to the local club with a few of my friends and on the actual day of, me and the other bday girl had brunch with our families...her parents and my kids. End of story. Yes, it was a 3 day celebration and I enjoyed every bit of it. lol
I wouldn't help out anyone who can't be honest with themselves or me. I also likely wouldn't be friends with someone who makes such irrational decisions since they're likely to lead a very unstable life...and that may affect my life as well since we're friends. I'd definitely start distancing myself from her. Sure, she may be really unhappy right now and here I am, with free time and 'friend' status, but man...sometimes you gotta try to help yourself and fix your own mistakes.

Gawd...this bestie of mine. I swear...she's just doing too much and I'm trying not to be insulted. I really really am. Like, she converted to Islam which is perfectly cool...even though it was strictly to get with a certain guy. Now, the only reason why I mention that second part is that any experienced adult knows that when you make a drastic life change in your value system simply to appeal to the opposite sex...shit just always goes completely wrong and since I'm her best friend, that's where my concerns are. I'm the one who has to deal with the shit when she's going bananas like she is RIGHT NOW.
Long ass story short...she DIDN'T get the guy, of course. Then in a fit of "I'm going to show him and the rest of the world that I'm still marriage material and I can have any man I want...even though I can't have THAT man....I'm going to marry the first person who says yes." And that my fellow fish is exactly what she did. She knew this guy for less than a week and since she was ready to get married and he was ready to get married, they tied the knot. Yes, I went to the wedding and shook my head the entire time. My wedding card had to be addressed to _____(insert her name here) and hubby, because in my haste to be physically present and supportive...I'd forgotten that I didn't even know the fellas name. So...you know what? I signed the outside AND the inside of the card that way. It was an honest moment. Then I placed a minimal amount in the card and told her face to face, "If this marriage doesn't last at least a whole year, I want every single penny of my money back and I am OH SO SERIOUS." So, now she's been married for what?...2 months. Cool.
This chick hits me up last week saying that for her 40th bday she wants us to hang out like we used to and club for not one night, but two nights the weekend before her bday. So I agree. Then that expands into..."oh and invite whoever else you think would want to join". Ok cool. Then it was...this is going to be epic. "Ummm...wait a sec...what the hell are we doing again?" Then it was..."oh by the way, my husband isn't invited and we are going to wild out. Make sure you invite such and such and so and so and blah blah blah" Hold up...I smell a rat. So at this point, I tell her that I'll get back to her when I find suitable places for us to party that weekend. I actually don't do shit and I sit back to see what the hell else is going to surface. Do you know all of this short week she's been posting shit to my timeline and acting like we've been hanging out everyday or like we're hanging out like we USED to hang out. The thing is...everyone in our circle...no...let me take that back...all of the people who defected to MY circle as she continued to lose her friggin mind are seeing this on my page. She's trying to bait people into jo
