you think scorpios are one of the ugliest signs?

i happen to think Aishwarya Rai is one of the most beautiful women in the world hands down, and she's a scorpio. Gavin Rossdale is hot too and he's a double scoprio (sun and rising). his wife Gwen Stefani (a libra) is a scorpio rising as well. but this is just my two cents. i think you should look at the individual's risng and it's aspects to personal planets, and planets in the first house to determine attractiveness. but you know what they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

virgos can be plain. the most attractive virgo right now in my opinion is Beyonce (and she's got a scorpio moon). however, i've seen people who are uglier than sin in all signs, so it's hard for me to say which is the ugliest.

according to astrology, an individual's appearance is determined, or rather affected by his/her ascendant, any planets in the first house, and any aspects to the ascendant and planets in the first house. i've heard the statement "looks are determined genetically," and i totally agree (i'm a biologist, and i've studied genetics), but i also think that the ascendant and etc as mentioned above, can "affect" a person's look. that being said, say you look like a carbon copy of your mother, but you both have different ascendants. you may have scorpio rising and she is a sag rising. you're going to appear more reserved, serious, intense, etc. you know, the whole scorpio look thing going on. and your mother will appear more jovial and carefree. throw in some more aspects and any planets in the first house, and the looks and persona are further distinguished, but you still look genetically alike. as the popular saying goes, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," some may like the dark and brooding look, while others prefer a more welcoming appearance.

from my observations, i've seen this to be true in many cases. not 100% accurate, but in most cases. if you want to know more about this, you can to the Lindaland forum, and they're always playing "guess their ascendant" games, and they are REALLY good at guessing not only the ascendant but also planets in the 1st and 12th, sun, moon and aspects. it's kind of eerie that some can be so good at this.
