What is it like dating your opposite?

I don't understand how people do it, personally I don't think I can im sorry. Even just being friends with my scorpio friend is a huge roller coaster, always unpredictable, never stable, emotionally compatible but our train of thought is miles apart.

For those dating your opposite, do you feel weighed down, unstable, or as if you can't let go because of the deep connection, despite the constant arguing, be honest..

My sun is in (weak) oppsition to the leo's. We have a few other opposition aspects too considering he has 3 other Leo placements in late degrees.

We rarely argue and have a calm, healthy relationship.

If you're just looking for signs and not degrees- I've never dated a Virgo so who knows.

I'm sorry I cannot relate to your understanding of "opposite" sign-wise. One reason being that I never dated a Virgo, and the other being the fact that I am a cusp.

Sun opposition Sun experience though, degree speaking, be my guest.

My understanding comes from mostly negative experiences of opposite pairings. Can't really help that it just turned out that, it's all I know.

I'm essentially married to my opposite sign. And we have a lot of squares and oppositions in synastry. I would say it's either great, or like being in the pits of hell. Because we're two fixed signs (Leo and Aqua) and both of us have earth moons, the only reason we've managed to stick together is due to our stubbornness. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, though.

Fortunately these days, the great is more often than the hellish. What used to make us fight like crazy people now either makes us laugh, or shrug in apathy and walk away.

TBH, it's not a very dynamic relationship anymore. Maybe because we're older, maybe because we've moved beyond our own hangups, or maybe because whatever used to fire us up just doesn't push those buttons anymore.

I sort of miss some of the drama, but there's also comfort in knowing someone so completely (and having someone know you so completely). You can l only achieve that after you've stripped each other bare and still realize you love the person standing in front of you.

Never had a Pisces bf. I haven't had a problem with Pisces though. I'm not for or against. They just are.

I am with my opposite right now, me a Taurus and him a Scorpio. Honestly this is the best relationship I have ever been in. We have been together for a year and just moved in together, about a month and a half ago. We never fight, our relationship is very relaxed and comfortable. From the very beginning we have just been very straightforward and honest with one another, never any games or guessing, like it was in other relationships. I have never questioned how he felt about me or where the the relationship was headed. In all honesty our relationship flows very easy, we are friends and lovers and enjoy being in each others presents. His emotions can get pretty intense, but so can mine. I think what works for us is that we just let each other be who we are. When we get intense neither of us takes it personal we just are there for each other and listen and let the other vent how ever they choose to and then talk and look for solutions.

Before him I was with 2 other Scorpios and nether of those relationships were good. Looking back I believe it was because both of them were insecure and immature, even at 33 and 38, they both played a lot of games and really neither of them were man enough for me.

I believe that having relationships with your opposite can teach you a lot about your self. The 2 I had before my boyfriend actually made me look inward and I learned a lot about myself...one ever helped me to heal even though it was not a great relationship. The other taught me what I didn't want...in the end they both made me better and stronger, so when my boyfriend popped up I was ready for the relationship. I also believe that you can have an AMAZING relationship with your opposite...if you both respect one another and allow each other to be themselves. Which for 2 strong fixed signs like ours means that you can't try and control the situation but be open to suggestion and change. Their straights will help to teach you to be stronger in the areas you are weak and vise versa.

Strengths*

I dated a Taurus (I'm scorpio).
He was too stable and stagnant and couldn't really meet me emotionally.
We probably could have made it work if we were more mature, just cuz we
were deeply in love.

Now I'm dating a leo, no opposites but still a square. And if I let me my emotions get the best of me then GOOD GOD!
I feel "weighed down, unstable...can't let go because of the deep connection, despite the constant arguing," with intensity and passion to boot!
But if I get control of my emotions we have a pretty stable, loving, understanding connection.

I had a short fling with a cappy girl. It didn't last very long... I think my venus in gemini drove her away.

I only like Aries guys as friends. I've got a couple in my circle.

I love how they are so forthcoming and young at heart... even when they grow up and have serious jobs and responsibilities, you will always catch them getting into trouble, being impulsive, and just having a good time. Keeps everything fresh.

you have taurus, you're gonna want Scorpio in the charts.

i've seen alot of Scorpio moons with taurus suns.

if not, dominant Scorpio in the chart at the very least but sun and moon in differnet planets.

i've seen just even rising sign scopio, and they're in.

or their chart configuration is that it points to the Scorpio sign even if it's a singleton. That makes it sometimes, i notice domiannt Scorpio.

i've seen it with individuals that have only neptune pisces, the only pisces in the chart and they are dominant pisces.

I don't know any Pisces, save for my boss, and he's moody as heck.

I'm attracted to Caps, too. Agree that they are generally very kind and humble. I also like how serious and driven they are. I don't have as much of an easy vibe with them as I do with Tauruses, though.

It certainly didn't work out. Even as friends he makes me nuts. Damn Capricorn... He's still one of my favorite people, though.

I'm a Sag, and it works really well for me because I have a mars Gemini and it's in my 8th house. The one thing that really annoys me though is their inability to be emotional and the fact that they have so many god damn friends that I feel lost in translation when in a group with a Gemini lover. I find myself thinking, "how can one person have so many friends, and WHY?!"

Well, I hope he/she didn't sour your impression of the rest of them! (pun totally intended)

I think it's a wonderful experience , my best friend of almost 10 years is a Libra. To me that opposition drives me to want to get to know the person more, It's a challenge but a healthy one & we learn so much about each other in the process. That's one of my favorite things about opposite sign relationships is learning about the other sign and being able to meet them halfway.

I exclusively date my opposite, I can't get enough.
