My bf and I have been dating almost 5 mos. Never said the "L" word but the other night, when we were having amazing s*x, I could SWEAR that he 'sort of' whispered it in my ear....he isnt usually right in my ear but it was like he went directly there and was purposely breathing in it and then I thought I heard "I love you", sort of, like he didnt fully move his lips to enunciate but I'm pretty sure I heard it b/c the rest of the time it sounded more like breathing.

I know none of you were there to hear this but I'm wondering if this would be a typical way that someone might work their way to the L word? Or maybe it slipped? Is it a test? It wasnt totally clear so I didnt know what to say/do. I kissed his cheek.

Forgive me if I sound dumb but I'm just out of a LTR so this dating and new relationship stuff is kinda foreign to me.

Do you think he was saying I love you? This ever happen to anyone or have you done this before?
What now? I'm inclined to wait for him to say it 'for real' before I react or reciprocate. My response will positive.

Sorry honey, any sweet words mentioned during sex DON'T count.

Now if he "slips" and says it again before OR after (not during) sex, that'd be a different story!

1 thing's for sure...if a man feels the strong urge to use the L word during sex, it's b/c you're the bomb in bed! Seriously, I wouldn't take his L word during sex too seriously. Besides, if he really means it, he'll tell you again soon. If you never hear a thing about it any time, you'll know for sure that he was just saying it in the moment

When the wind is blowing furiously, like a storm approaching, if you listen really hard, you might be able to think it whispers .... kill all the little children

But, if it's blowing gently and just soflty whisping, you might be able to imagine that it sings ... swing low sweet chariot (which you can also pretend to be living a couple hundred years ago, so that's a double-whammy of an imagining) .... and other times, you can imagine it cries ... I forgive you, love the animals.

Also, if you stare at the clouds ... you might be able to believe that you disperse them ... and they will actually move if you believe really hard.
