Generally there is nothing wrong with that. But you should also make sure that your expectations and standards are realistic.
How do you know it's realistic?

When you're not expecting something that cannot be given to you.

For example; I want a guy who's a doctor and could give me time.

Reality: The guy is a doctor and doesn't always have the time. They're busy

I believe if what you want has a realistic base then its better to wait. And prepare yourself for that too. But if you dream of the Prince and the princess then you probably have a problem.

Also about this thread.. If I don't get in the relationship that feels good to me with a partner that I want a lot.... That's means I settle for a relationship that doest actually fulfill me.... And that makes me more sad and also wastes my time.. I simply can't do it.

Well when I wrote this I had my sister in mind... virgin into her mid thirties, single because she thought she deserved no less than a hollywood movie star or a singer in a famous band. Staying single because of that. LOL... no regular guy stood a chance. To me, that was ridiculous and unrealistic.

So realistic..... I define as something within the realm of possibility.
Yeaah that's kinda stupid , hollywood movie star, i'd understand if someone wants someone with healthy life style , no smoking, not drinking like a russian, kind, loyal and so on, but hollywood star, i wouldn't even think of that, kinda hilarious if you ask me. 😄
Well it was funny for a long time til it wasn't anymore. She met a man who was relatively famous at a concert we went to and she thought obsessively she could be with him. Luckily, that has since passed and she is with a normal average man now.

lol omgosh that reminded me of a concert i went to a long time ago with my girlfriends, one of them sighed and said, "ooohhh he...he looked right at me.. and wants me. I could feel it!!!" "i'm gonna marry him."

i really wanted to believe that.
