My best guy friend confessed to me!

I've had feelings for him for almost four months now and he told me while we were texting today that he has feelings for me too and that he wants us to be together. I also told him how I feel about him. My heart feels like it's going to burst, my stomach hearts and twirls and I almost puked too. I told him I want some time to think about it and he gave me three days to do so. He is on holiday now and I;ll probably see him next wek. I don;t know what to do. I;ve never been in a relationship in my life before. I'm 17 by the way. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Maybe some advice?
I don;t know what to tell him yet. He said that he didn;t tell me anything all this time cause he was afraid that he would loose me as a friend as well. Please help me!

You should wait until you've collected yourself, and gained controlled composure .... responding/reacting to anything in life during an emotional spike usually turns out with regrets, because the heart never thinks.
Three days should be ample time to let everything sink in enough so that you can speak to him from your brain.
I told him I want to be with him tonight. We talked on the phone. And he called me baby and that he loves me. This feels all too strange for me. Will I ever get used to it?

High school was 6 years ago, so that makes you around 22-23 years old .... and you are asking people to explain to you if you have feelings for someone?
