Word on Vulnerability

Blame it on venus retrograde or not... but all this week for me is been quite a ride... I've been reading about people avoiding other to avoid dealing with emotions or all that communication take...

Myself I've been feeling quite liberated ever since, I've wrote my exBFF a letter (email) talking about bunch of feelings I've been holding since we split... and dispose other people's opinion... I did it for myself... actually Im not expecting any reaction or response, and for so Im not even anxious about it either... for what I know she could've delete it without read it, I will never know, and Im ok...

In the past I would probably will be dying inside for open the way I did and expose my vulnerabilities and fear of being using those to hurt me... but then I've found this nice TED talk and this lady is a genius!! I Love her words, her attitude and the talk is even really funny...

I will love to start a exchange of thoughts about this topic...

Thanks for sharing the link. I will Def watch and let you know what I think. Good to know the planets were a little responsible for the lack of communication this week. It's been a weird one and I too get anxiety when it comes to feelings sometimes.

I'm only 8 minutes in .... so far, this is interesting-- really good stuff.

Wow! The feels. I just finished that.I agree with her view that we want people to know and understand us but when we put it all out there then there's this quick feeling of regret that if someone sees the real us, the won't accept us for who we are. That video really spoke to me.

Im glad you like it... Lol you really describe my reaction right after I've watched it for the very first time... It leaves you with a great feeling like excitement!!!

On regards of your comment... I guess the clue as the almost all of us walk thought life feeling misunderstood but people don't get us and we don't get people because when we feel hurt or sad, we much rather concealed to avoid being perceived as weak, and create a great drama around a situation when we deep down we just want to be understood... but people don't read people's mind we have to be open and allow people to know us for who we are...

just like her I've notice most of the people who are happy are people who are just open... and most of my struggle in life is been because even if Im a good person, Im very close and fear of being vulnerable for fear of being hurt, but I've been hurt even more for not being open... so you make your choices.

For me, if I'm close to you and feel a strong bond I'm especially open. However, most don't get as deep as me and I recently did the very thing of opening up completely to an Aries with a Gemini mood but have tried to take the "falling back" with a grain of salt. I actually considered sending this link and wonder if sending this link to anyone who knows me is too much or will it give them permission to open up for their own sake of discovering what's inside themselves.
