Are Muslim women allowed to marry non-Muslim men?

From what I've read, the tradition is that a Muslim man may marry a Christian or Jewish woman (provided they are true believers), but a Muslim woman may not marry a man of another faith (although there is debate about whether the Koran itself actually forbids this). The theory is that the man is the leader of the family, and will influence the family to adopt whatever religion he happens to be.

I am sometimes attracted to Muslim women but suspect that they are not allowed to marry non-Muslim men: is that correct?

...Muslim women? As in you're attracted to women with headscarves? How else would you know straight away that they are Muslim unless they go around telling everyone they are Muslim?

But yes, they are not traditionally allowed to marry non-Muslims because their children generally adopt the religion of the father, not the mother. However, they can marry someone who converts to Islam. So if there is a non-religious Muslim woman you fancy from a religious family, just have the family assume you're a newly converted Muslim, then eat pork when they aren't looking.
