Is there any other Sags out there that are emotionally detached to people? I have a hard time feeling sympathy for people, sometimes even those I care for.

yes, I have this problem. I find myself sometimes being more cold to my family members when they are having a problem then I would be if a stranger was talking to me about the same thing. Idk if it's because I expect more from the people close to me or what it is. But usually it's not that I don't care, it's just that I want the to suck it up and find a solution instead of just complaining about it.

Damn I thought I was the only one. Here's the thing...with my own family, I'm pretty hard on them. I don't know why, maybe its because I expect better from them. Maybe because I have to deal with their problems so much already that I've hit my tolerance. However, for people that I don't know, I can be extremely compassionate. Its very strange. In either case though, I feel much more sorry for people that have things happen to them that are beyond their control, are the result of randomness, things like that. If you do something stupid, and something bad happens, I have a very hard time feeling anything at all. In fact, I'll probably just be upset with you for being a moron. If you aren't self-sufficient, I don't even want to hear it. Unless something happened that wasn't the result of that.

I see ur point, my mom recently thought she was sick, but the thing is my mom is a drama queen and I can't deal with it. She call me from the hospital crying saying this and that, but I knew she just wanted attention and was being dramatic for no reason so it didn't bother me. She wanted me to come to the hospital but instead my father went and call me bck saying they are sending her home and nothing is wrong.

Now if someone I don't know tell me a sob story and I believe them, I will feel sympathy and wish there was something I could do to help.

Exactly the same thing with me.
