People evolving past relations? (Vent)

Why does no one bother to get to know eachother anymore? It seems like we get to know what we think is "necessary" than it stops right there. Or I see people let go of friendships because they don't have " time" for it. Work, school other bullshit is that all really more important than people or understanding?

Is this how human life has to be? God why don't we all become robots and just do work and make money until the batteries ware out!!


I guess I just feel bad for humans and the pressure we are all put under for some reason I guess I can't seem to grasp....?

I see.

I still like to get to the very core of people. With astrology it makes it a lot easier, but it's still fun seeing where pieces fit and how people work due to other factors in their life.
Then again I am a psych major. It'll be my job one day to analyze people. People aren't less caring or uninterested...well i mean I'm sure there are a lot who are that way, and selfish...but if you know how to talk to people you'll see that people really do have depth and are just trying to deal with their own stuff. Plus I think being a Christian really helps me to see things in a different light. But I digress. All I'm saying is the world is based on your perspective.

Probably. I have seen too much evil and pain for how old I am. I guess I see things dimly sometimes. It's nice to be hopefully and light

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm technology is taking over now so i guess thats y everybody talks thru the computers and cellphones i still believe in face to face contact is the best way to get to know someone i think technology should only be a means to an end like to meet up with people and whatnot.


you have to understand times are tough and people are doing there best to hold down jobs to take care of themselves and even there families.


so not people have time for friends and whatnot atm.


things will get better when jobs pick up again.

I think it's b/c people hate ruining the "mystery" of things. Some people are terrified of actually thoroughly getting to know someone before they commit b/c if they do, they might become bored or fear that they won't have anything to look foward to. So they'll figure/find out the absolute necessary things they need to know about a person (their morals/habits, etc.) & from there & for the rest of the ride, they'll just take a chance & HOPE that the person they're really feeling in the moment will end up being the person they end up with or atleast like the same amount in the long run.

That is why some women only end up as just the "best friend" instead of the girlfriend or wife. It's not that she's done anything wrong or turned him off, but that perhaps he knows a little TOO much about her.

For some reason, people seem to only be open to going so far if there's been a certain title attached to it. For example...a man may get bored if he spends 2 years getting to know a woman he's dating (w/o the title yet) but yet if he were already married to or in a relationship with that very same woman, he'd be thrilled at the aspect of continually getting to know her, as she continually & inevitably changes over time. It's weird.
