Shit talking

Have any of you ever been accused of "talking shit" when you are just voicing your opinion??
Do you feel like it's a Sagi thing...it's not that you talk any more shit than anyone else...it's just more impactful when you do because it's really harsh and maybe too on-point?

My Leo friend talked shit about me a while ago and it got back to me.
We were having a bit of rough patch and I had been avoiding her & her drama.
She said she could tell I was "done" with her, but that was fine because she wasn't sure she could trust me anyway because I "talk shit about everyone" (MIND YOU, she is talking shit about me "talking shit")

I knew she was just speaking out of hurt because that is so ridiculously untrue, it is laughable...she has no problem trusting me...as I am the one in our group who everyone confides in and comes to for advice...including and ESPECIALLY her.

So, I tried to let it go...but still sometimes when I voice my opinion about someone, like for example "that girl is out of her mind," she will be like "lol, jeeze, wonder what you say about me when I'm not around."

I will be the first to admit I speak my mind and I am very opinionated.
If someone comes up in a conversation, and I have an opinion, I'm gonna state it. I'm not gonna hold back because they're not there. It's not like I won't and haven't said any of it to them if the opportunity arises.

But I don't feel like I talk any more shit than anyone else.
I'm not starting rumors about people or talking about their business...it's more like "oh that girl, yeah she's a hot mess." NEXT. Moving on...

Why do you have to say that girl is a hot mess? She's not bothering you. Why bring it up? Just let her be. I think it's a woman thing to talk shit..

Yup, it comes with the territory. The funny thing is usually were right anyway. I just shrug it off.

So I don't like when people say judgey shit like "oh wonder what you say about me..."

When 1. I'll say it to you, if you really want me to.....and 2. You have said just as much as I have here...the only difference is I wasn't saying her shoes are ugly or some other petty shit that girls talk...I said something relevant, like how she's losing her mind and needs to get it together.

I've always found this term kind of misleading and weird to define. I think people misuse it all the time, tbh.

When you're speaking honestly and truthfully about a situation or something a person did, I find it hard to see as "talking shit." It happened. What they did was fucked and/or something that wasn't good for anyone involved.

However, if someone is just speaking badly of another person- what they're wearing, how slutty they are, blah blah- basically defaming their character or making fun of someone because you don't like them, THAT is shit talking, tbh. Being some dumb, catty bitch about nothing in particular. You just don't like them because your estrogen dictates so.

But I think it's been skewed where you talk about someone else in any way, shape, or form, it's "shit talking."

Exactly to both of you. The truth is the truth no matter how you slice it or try to verbally wrestle your way out of it. I'm at the point to where I see the train coming at you, I tell you and if you ignore me I keep it moving. To each their own. I try not to be cynical, but I find people funny nowadays. Its not that they can't figure shit out, they just simply don't want to change when you tell them something. Okay...its your life lol.

Disclaimer: I love Sags-- my best friend is one (w/a Pisces moon)-- I gravitate toward them because how can you not?

Sags are fun-- and they always know what's going on-- always.

I think, like you, people naturally tell her things-- and she typically has commentary on all these things-- but there's no malice.

The bluntness and the passive-aggressive tendencies are both unrelated, imo.



As for your friend-- come on-- Leos are a bit sensitive about the image, eh? lol

Could be she just wants reassurance.

Tell her "No, Leogirl-- I would never say such things about you. YOU aren't crazy; you're fabulous!"

Follow with bear hug, and you're golden. Usually, it *is* that easy.

I usually just roll my eyes because it's so ironic she would say that. I could easily say the same to her. She talks 10x the shit I do...and at least I don't talk about my friends like that, you know?

I thought the whole thing revolved around her "misperception" of you and your running commentary.

There is a significant difference between talking shit and just stating the facts. Us sags are fearless when it comes to saying what needs to be said. Everybody else is usually too busy worrying about their image to speak up. We are not. If some oversensitive bitch wants to take our honesty personally, so be it. It's not our problem.
