Heh, I'm in Toronto, moved from Vancouver last year. You are definitely moving backwards job wise, Vancouver's economy is tiny and there aren't many jobs. Most people who can't get out of Vancouver are stuck living in tiny room shares all the way to 40-50 yrs old! because the cost of living is out of whack relative to what people actually living there can make. Housing prices are jacked up from all the asian money and real estate development catering to rich outsiders who are just looking to park their money.
Anyhow, Toronto is a more mature and larger economy, especially for accounting. Many friends of mine from back there say they went months without replies, but the minute they started looking in Toronto things turned around very quickly, many professionals end up moving here for work although I moved to get away from the city and the people itself.
