cancer female-Scorpio male overreacting?

I'm a cancer female. My friend is a Scorpio male.
We've never had sex which is probably why we are constantly getting in petty, emotional arguments.
He does and says things that gets me going. He thinks he has me all figured out and probably does.
Today he's telling me he never wants to speak to me again because I won't divulge the source behind an irrelevant bit of information. I haven't responded and would like advice from a Scorpio on how I should respond to him to gain some respect.
that's what I've been seeking from him for awhile. I don't want to manipulate to get the upper hand if that's even possible. I just don't want him to think he has gotten the best of me as in the past.
If he hates me so much why bother being my friend?

Because he's made sexual advances at me in the past. So there's an underlying sexual tension that's never been acted on.
He wants to know the source because they knew something he didn't about someone else. It's about what someone is doing on vacation. Who cares what they are doing? But that's not his concern. He wants to who knew before him.

I would've told him had he not pulled the emotional warfare trap.
Now look at me! I'm really wanting to not get caught up in the same trap where I end up feeling bad having done nothing wrong and apologize to him like I did. Then he's in control and doesn't respect me. I don't want to get played like a fiddle anymore but I'd like to keep him as a friend.

Have sex with him? Then he definitely won't respect me! If he does these things now and then I put out he'll formulate an opinion not so favorable. Yes?

Why worry about gaining his respect?

The only person you need respect from is yourself.

I didn't respond to his message. He looked like hell this morning all stressed out and serious. He avoided eye contact with me.
So I acted as if I never got his message and breezed about being friendly to him and everyone else. He looks very sad.

Applying it to his actions meaning try to uncover how he's affected me?

Wow....Scorpios do all that? No wonder it takes forever for him to decide where we're going for lunch....

lol demons!... went to lunch with him. He accused me of sex ting and having sexy with the maintenance guy who was hinting around about asking for my number. I asked why would he ask for my number if I already screwed him?
Why does this friendship feel like a relationship? And why is he allowed to be jealous when he'd call me crazy i were to behave like this?

Water sign drama. Then the fact that you are opposite sexes and he is clearly attracted to you could be a factor.

If you do not like certain aspects of your interactions with your Scorp man friend, then bring it up and then stop catering to it.

I understand why you would ask but no its not. When I tell him how I feel flips it somehow and I end up reeled even further in, more.confused, and apologizing for something.
I feel like he uses my.emotions against me which is.why I came for help to begin with. I want to get answers without talking to him about it. If I talk to him he will leave the conversation knowing more and leaving me with nothing but more confusion.

In my experience, the most effective way to handle a Scorpio who can't handle themselves is to ignore undesirable behaviour. It is not your problem.

I was great friends with a Scorpio male and we would go back and forth like this sometimes because there was a connection, but it wasn't a romantic one.
15 years later I can tell you I am so glad I never slept with him.

^^^^ once you sleep with some Scorpios it can be very difficult to get rid of them. Plus, he was only interested in me when someone else was. I was a teenager and knew nothing about astrology at that time so this is all hindsight.

We remained friends because we never crossed that line and I was able to enjoy that friendship for many years. I saw what he did to ex girlfriends. Not pretty.

I was serious with my answers. Most of the comments on this thread are tongue and cheek, they're just messing with you.

Well it is serious. Sometimes its bad like when he about broke his hand punchinghis car cause if some jealous fit.
Most of the time we are normal friends, doing normal things. We to each other fot help and support. He treats me better then most people and vice versa. The drama isn't the majority.
but when it happens its long, painful and anyone around feels the heat.
I want to learn a new way of handling it instead of finding myself in the middle of the bad parts again.
that is serious.
I feel a lot for him. So if something happened romantically it couldn't be a game.
I'm choosing to find away to deal with his crap because I'm not ready or willing to go without him.

I don't find that to be true in my personal experience with some in the past. I've found in the past that among a group of men, some of those men under different sun signs will choose a certain type and scorpio men will choose someone different. But of a "certain" ilk.

I don't care what sign he is....if he can't control himself then you might want to reconsider.

I'm not saying that at all. I've only been into astrology for about 5 years. I've had male Scorp friends and dated one, unbeknownst at the time that they were even Scorpios. The friend I spoke of got possessive when/if I was dating someone else or someone was interested in me... which wasn't that often. Why did he get like that? idk... it was years ago.

The one I know who has venus in scorp must have mastered most of his energy. He's extremely grounded....more than me!

He's Scorp sun, Cancer moon, Scorp venus.
