Only when I didn't want to attend a party with not so close friends...lol

I lie when I want to be left alone. My "I have a headache" scenes are Oscar-worthy. LMAO my friends must suspect a brain tumour because I use the headache excuse quite a lot. Can't really fake a broken leg or spine now can you? I'd use it if I could, just to have them stay away longer. Maybe I should try coming up with something contagious next time 🙂

It's easier to remember a truth than a lie.

Me personally it's always been because I needed to believe something more at the time.

Not sure if you remember -- but I do -- I wrote a thread about lying once. I realized that should never lie because to not tell the truth is to not be true to me.

I cannot find a single time when lying has benefitted anyone, ever.
I want the whole truth, nothing but the truth so help me GOD!!

Lying doesn't benefit anyone. Lying can also ruin someone's life... Depending on the situation.

If you are being truthful or not -- hence your statement -- but trust me. Lying is a disease and it's root cause it something deeper than you yet realize. Tread carefully and good luck.

I agree with this. I know a habitual liar. It's to the point where no one believes what she says. She lies to make herself seem important. It's crazy.

I'm just sitting back and chuckling over all of the Crab-like sideways dodging going on in here. 😉
