Scorpio male & Capricorn female BEST match?

Asking this ? for a friend who is in a relationship within this match, she the cap, her guy the scorp. But is there any truth to them being best for one another? Do they last for long term? What are the challenges to expect between the two? Just by going by google a lot of places are saying Capricorn is a best match for most scorps, which is surprising to me because on a lot of sites I've seen it say Pisces is a soul-mate. Now I know this is all general cause the chart matters but generally speaking..

Pretty, one of my scorpio girlfriends is married to a cappie. They've been together for, I would say at least a decade now. Maybe a bit less.

Even on paper it makes a good match because they share a lot of the same traits. Both are protective, private, goal-oriented, crave stability and are good with money (this one is v. important for LTRs. Most marriages end over financial disputes and disagreements). On the flip side they can both also be jealous, stubborn and tend to be workaholics.

That last one may be one of the biggest obstacles. They'll both need to make a conscious effort to make enough time for each other. But, really, it's a very good match. Cappies really can work well with all the water signs. They're good peeps! Hope that helped a bit. 😉

Well, I won't say that ^_^. If you want a guy that is all-consuming but he's still wants you to have some fight in you and not be a wimp or whatever, then Scorpio guys and Capricorn girls can get along fine.

I think a capricorn woman can easily confuse a scorpio guy -- along with the fact that I think a scorpio guy can scare a capricorn woman to death at some point.

However, things can be very good between the two as long as both know what they want. If not, the relationship (much like virgo man and capricorn woman) will not necessarily end, it will just turn into a Bad Romance *********** Lady Gaga style *

It's an intuitive analysis, in terms of the elements. 'Earth' stands to benefit from 'water,' it is nourished by it, and the earth becomes a bed for new life, from water flowing into it.

More mundane reasons for ScorpM-CapF challenges include:

"A Capricorn is little detached in relationships and even if he is deeply involved, he finds it hard to display so. On the other hand, a Scorpio openly expresses his love and expects the same form his partner. This may lead to problems."

^^ Okay, I see. I can see that, but you must remember, but of the reason capricorns are so darn complex is that we are Seagoats 😉 (hence the reason so many women and now men complain about us on the cap board).


Yes, we are Seasgoats, not regular goats that stay on the surface but we are among the water too -- that's we we are called capricorn and not just plain old billy goat ^_^. Capricorn = the nourishing of water and earth, that's how we were formed in the first place.

just for the record since we are sea goats meaning we contain water already we have a better chance of holding the fluid sign scorpio a little better and get nourished by their waters and learn to flow better for it

I haven't had the honor of dating a cappie man but as a Scorpio woman I've only felt truly understood by my cappi dad. When young He could handle my moods effortlessly. I see why then as water goats this earth sign does not scare away easily from the torrent of water a scorp can unleash. Lol
A Scorpio woman needs that strength n knowing on handling us as we can be carried away by too much feeling. Not so much now as I've learned to harness all that energy.

I like how you put that. YOU say your dad was the only one to ever be able to effortlessly handle your mood swings. I think that maternal nature from capricorns would help the relationship withstand the tests of time then huh lol

I think it would depend on how much the scorpio or any water sign needs the emotional connection and how well the capricorn is at giving it. Everyone is different, of course, so it just depends. As a triple Cancer I can see where Caps are generally not emotional and intuitive enough to give me the kind of connection I need. I'm not saying they don't feel or have emotions but that they don't understand and display it in the same way because they are earth vs water. All the earth signs I know LOVE to get the love, attention and connection that I offer without hardly trying but they never seem able to match me on the return and that's when I feel like I'm not loved or wanted enough or as much. I know, Cancer and insecurities! My opinion, earth signs generally don't connect as deeply and it would depend on how much the scorpio needs and wants that connection.

As for water signs hooking up with water signs, whether friendship or more, the emotional connection is effortlessly deep and that will rarely be a point of contention in the relationship. Not saying that other things might be a problem, but it definitely won't be the emotions (I'm sure there's rare exceptions to the rules). That said, I've seen that same/same sign pairings are too sibling like.

What I love about my Scorpio male is that he softens me. I think this is both good and bad, I used to be a lot tougher but he gives me permission to be more sensitive, because he is safe; he understands my feelings and he doesn't judge me for them, and from the start he could see through me to my core, whereas others would dismiss the tough front I put up. I miss being tough though at times. Lol.

Likewise I understand when he gets really involved in something he is passionate about, and I understand his need for space.

I dunno, we just get each other.

moonartist I get what you are saying to a certain degree . the part you spoke on about scorpios wanting an emotional connection, i believe that is the part that would have to definitely be in motion, or otherwise the relationship would have issues concerning the cap giving offf to much emotions seeming like a stalker , lol, because we only reciprocate that love if we are sure of it other wise people would think of us as coldhearted.

It's not just that, but the earth signs tend to be less emotional and more analytical and practical. I'm not sure how to describe the feeling but with every earth sign friend or SO it has felt like I'm doing all the giving and loving and end up feeling taken for granted. I'm not saying they aren't loving me back but they don't have the same mode of showing it so I feel it. It's not so bad when it's not a marriage, but if you're "stuck" with that person then it can get bad.
