Scorpios and Being Single...

It seems like every Scorpio I've ever met cannot stand to ever be single for very long. Are we known to jump from relationship to relationship? I know that I hate being single and I always feel happier when I'm sharing my life with someone. Yet I've learned that you must love yourself first in order to love another. Plus it's always good to be independent and make it on your own for awhile. I just find it to be pretty reckless to move so quickly when it comes to rebounding from relationships. Any thoughts, my fellow Scorpios?

How old are you? I feel this is true for most young people, of any sign. I do the same thing.

Do you have libra in your chart? Your post above smells very libra to me. I just don't see scorpios as the kind that move on to the next relationship too quickly. Where's the obsessing time if that's the case? 😛 I have a lot of scorpio in my chart & have zero problems with being single. Reminds me of that song "I'd rather be alone than being unhappy".

Suprisingly, I don't have any Libra in my chart. My moon sign is in Cancer though. I don't generally move on quickly at all. So I've never jumped into a relationship, but every Scorpio I know does it. Like I said I find it to be reckless. The obsessing stage is always an interesting one. 😛

Woops sorry, I just reread your entire post & for a minute I thought you were talking about yourself when you wrote about the "jumping from relationship to relationship". That on its own isn't scorpio lol unless I really don't know scorpionic energy. Like I mentioned, mine grounds me, it requires a lot of "healing" time after a failed relationship & I'm always wary of relationships after I've "failed", it takes time to get me excited about romance again. Maybe the people you know who are like that are libra influenced scorps. Who knows? The obsessing part is what stalls the moving on IMHO hence there won't be any NEXT! as some like to announce 2 minutes after a relationship ends lol.

I'm not even sure that is a Libra influence thing... I'm a Scorpio with a tonne if Libra including Venus and I can't move on quickly either... Definitely a long painful drawn out process getting over someone I cared about!!

My kind of obsessing, though, is not the stalkerish kind & drive-bys lol. It's more like "How dare they!?". I think about all the bad things that took place in the relationship & get angry, leaving little room for a hunting for the next mate. My spare time is consumed by that & only that. Any man with interest is viewed with a suspicious eye until I'm over the overthinking about my last relationship.

No you're right it doesn't seem very Scorpio like at all. It's always been something that confused me, so since I'm new to this site I thought why not see if it is a Scorpio thing. I thought maybe I was the weird one for not being like that. Perhaps I'm just too sentimental due to my Cancer moon sign. I think Mercury based signs such as Libra and Gemini are definitely more prone to moving on very quickly. Their motto might as well be on to the next one. After a relationship ends I swear I go through the seven stages of grief. I think it's healthy to process your emotions before starting all over again with someone else. Then again maybe I'm just wired differently. I do know that I'm very sensitive. That's a definite Scorpio trait for sure. I think you and me go about it the right way though after a breakup. Or perhaps it's just the right way for us. 🙂

I know a scorpio who is similar to that, but her moon is in gemini. Me and her are very different in that aspect.

I'm definitely starting to think/realize that the ones who do it must have Mercury moon signs. That must explain it. Thankfully I know now that I'm not the weird Scorpio for not moving on as quickly.

One time I wrote something on my updates & another person wrote something related to what I said, but I wasn't so sure if it was directed at me or just a coincidence. It made me angry cause I felt like they were making fun of me indirectly. I almost made a thread to call that person out! It still looks crazy lol & what if they PM other people about it? PMs here aren't as private as we'd like to think & this has been proven numerous times in threads. I just thought about it a lot & decided that the person wasn't the kind to take digs at people. I still watched her very closely afterwards though in threads, I waited for another "coincidence" & that would have been it. Hahaha. It sounds crazy just thinking about it & makes me wonder about other things I blew up about in real life- how many of them were real attacks & how many were just coincidences mistaken for veiled attacks.

I know 3 Scorpio females like this. One has moon in Taurus. They like to keep a man, even if he is only considered fwb, to ensure a steady supply of sex. However they get into that grey area with fwb where it is almost like a relationship.

Do you have any air in your chart? I hear libra moons hate being alone and I have one, plus gem and Aquarius rising. Bf is a Scorpio and close to your age and has had that same hopping pattern as me, even worse! He's also Aquarius rising, Leo moon.

Maybe something with air? Who knows, it could just be an individual thing. My friend is cancer and she also hops around A LOT (Aquarius moon, gem venus) and also my Capricorn friend. All in the same age range....so I'm thinking maybe air and the age thing.

I wouldn't say it about all of em cause there's really nothing you can say that encapsulates every person of an entire sign, but the Scorsagion i dated managed to do both.

Broke up with him and he started seeing some other chick while still making a hobby of calling and FB messaging me his venom.

Went on for a good month or so. Different tone, but i still get random contact from him almost 6mths later and still shows up at my quiz night on occasion, has a beer and leaves.

He's a serial dater and still manages to squeeze in obsession of other women. 😄

LOL, it must have been the 'sagion' half of him doing all the serial dating. Who really knows, I'm just making guesses here lol.

i actually enjoy being in solitude for long periods of time. months, years even. i get a lot done and achieve many things i thought were impossible. it's probably because my focus is on my goals rather than being wasted on another person. i dont get much done with ppl around.

I've never had a problem being single. Yes, you get those emotional pangs every so often, but nothing a good jog or a pint of cookies 'n' cream won't fix. I agree, jumping from relationship to relationship because one fears being "alone" is not the best way to deal with whatever issue you are struggling with. I would love to share my life with someone, but it needs to be the right one. Any old body won't do and truly is not worth the energy.

I know two scorpion that does the same thing. I believe it's more about dating different people to find the right one who could compare to their first true /real love(ex). I know they secretly looking for "the one"

I find a lot of Scorps I know to be commitmentphobes, personally. The sign that seems to jump in and out of relationships from what I've noticed is Aries.

And yes, we are def in search of that idealistic soulmate who is "the one." For some, it's always an elusive figure. Don't agree with it being a first true/real love that we're trying to reconnect with or imitate though. That seems more like an isolated situation. Some people just can't let go regardless of sign, and let's be honest...we never forget our first love, and we're perfectly fine drawing the line there and keeping things as memories.

I agree 100% . I think that's why it is so reckless to jump in relationships. Otherwise you never have time to heal and move on. Not to mention a person needs to be able to be alone and love themselves first. That's why I find it to be so reckless. Oh and the lesson I learned the hard way is never make someone your everything, you'll be left with nothing

I'm not a commitphobe, but you're right you would think Scorpios are much more cautious before jumping into a relationship. I know tjat I am which is why I had no idea why the Scorpios I know are so damn fickle. They must just have a lot of air in their chart. I agree about how we are always searching for the one. So far I haven't found mine, which is probably why I look back so fondly on memories of my first love (he was a Cancer). 😛
