I'm making this post because I'm new at tarot and I was looking for a community that might be able to help me start out. so any one who does tarot themselves who can offer some tips and tricks for beginners and also some people who are willing to allow me to practice a free read on them in exchange for honest feedback and critiques. please let me know or message me if you'd like a reading from me!

Your spirit guides give you the answers to your questions based on the meaning YOU give the cards. So I suggest sitting with them, studying them and giving them meaning for yourself. Also (just advice find someone on YouTube (I use Practical Tarot Tudor) and pick the meanings you want to resonate with the card 🙂 good luck

You can learn online, there are tutorials, courses etc and lots of books. Just learn the meanings of the cards, they are very visual and with intuition, you can learn to read them, with practise.

And are you going trick or treating this year? Since you tagged me. I know you Scorpios loves Halloween.

I am just learning as well. I have been watching a lot of youtube readers and that has helped me get familiar with a lot of the cards, I'm a visual learner so reading the meanings is really hard for me. I do also have a cheat sheet that I typed up for myself. It has all the cards in their suits and I emphasized the elemental meanings with colors (blue for water, green for earth, red for fire, black for air since air doesnt have a color lol) then I have their astrological elements with them as well. Fire signs earth signs, etc. Then next to each card name I have a brief easy description for both upright and reversed. For the major arcana I have their astrological signs, meanings and element. Like for the hermit I have Virgo, Earth, and the meaning.

The best help I have had was through watching other readings online. It has allowed me to gain insight into different ways to read cards. I am still practising, but I have a great book that has been very helpful as well..

Thank you! I've been watching tarot videos for a while now so that has definitely helped me learn some meanings for the cards. I will def look up that book on amazon. I think my biggest thing right now is memorizing the cards and being able to read them good enough to connect a story but I also learned that it'll help if I start off with 1-2 card spreads just to get myself familiar.

That's a bit similar to what I'm doing with my little cheat sheet. I'm definitely going to take steal the color coding and element idea(thanks!)
