Ok bulls and bullettes I'm running out of time! My bulls bday is on the 5th and I have hit a brick wall as to what to give him. The last 2 gifts I got for him were so great that I can't figure out how to top them. 😢 Here's some insight into this bulls likes:

He's a photographer/videographer who paints in his spare time. He loves all things artistic and vintage and he is VERY fashionable in a masculine way.

Please guys I need some ideas to get my mental wheels churning or else he's getting a handwritten coupon for hugs and kisses and that just will NOT do...HELP!

Depends on how much you can afford, what were his last two gifts?

A photographer. If you know how to draw well, or know someone who does, I'd get a well made framework, one that has that vintage charm to it, with your favorite picture of him or you two together drawn (a pencil drawing, but a good one) in it.

If you know your way around professional video editing programs like Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas, a well made "music video" of you two would be quite memorable, of course using a song that reminds you of him in some way, or the first song you heard after you two met, etc.

A classy suit or a watch maybe?

Is he a fan of old music/LPs? Maybe one of those old gramophones.

I wouldn't worry too much about "topping" your past gifts btw, at least price-wise. Get him something that shows just how much more he means to you since the last gift. Good luck! 😛

My budget is pretty generous so the pricing is not the issue so long as the gift rocks! I got him a vintage camera for V-day. I can't remember the brand but it was a huge deal as only a few were made and it was in great condition and still works. He loved that so much it's framed in his living room and I recently bought him a camera lens mug for his morning tea. It wasn't for anything it was just something cute I saw online that I thought he'd like only cost 20 bucks. But OMG you would have thought I bought him a new car. I think he was more excited about the mug than the vintage camera. He takes that thing EVERYWHERE with him. He told me it's the little things like this that count not the amount of money spent on a gift. So I think doing something more sentimental than costly is definitely the way to go with him.

Hmm I draw/paint as well...maybe I'll draw the collage myself! Nice!

I saw this a few months ago, looking for a going away gift, and thought it was hilarious for photographers. Particularly if he is the type who is always taking pictures of you.

The Sunny 16 rule one is pretty funny too, especially the upside down one.

@djbuck1 thanks that luck goes both ways! I really like Torro's idea about the drawing so this is what I'm thinking:

Weekend getaway to condo on beach; home-cooked meals by yours truly; full body massage and top that off with THE GIFT: I'm going to buy a picture sized slab of wood, stain it in his company colors, burn/etch his company logo in the middle then collage pictures of his life and work all around the logo. Then I'm going to cover that with glass and some ornamental screws and viola an original piece by yours truly just for him! I'm so excited because if I can get this perfect it will be PERFECT! What do you guys think?

@CRP I LOVE the shirts I think I will add one to the gift if I can get is shipped in time. He loves graphic tees! Man thank you guys soo much; this is just what I needed to get my creative juices flowing!

What type of music does he listen to?

Rock? Blues? Jazz?

Combine the arts and music into one PERFECT gift.

There are many 'indie' artists/painters/vendors who express their love for a specific type of music in their paintings.

These paintings are not that expensive.

A very cost effective birthday gift.
