One of my passions is cooking, and as such I come up with all sorts of concoctions to satisfy my ever increasingly adventurous taste buds. I love a balance of both Spicy and Sweet, a perfect example is my dinner tonight.

Ingredients:

Crushed Garlic
Cucumber (Sauteed)
Green Bell Pepper (Sauteed)
Lingui?a (Smoked)
Mushrooms (Sauteed)
Olives (Sliced)
Onions (Sauteed)
Red Bell Pepper (Sauteed)
Sausage (Cooked normally)
Thick Spaghetti Noodle (American Beauty)

Condiments:
Parmesan & Romano grated Cheese

Sauce:
Customized Tomato (Scratch)

Side:
Texas Toast styled Garlic Bread

Nice. I use pretty much the same ingredients in my spaghetti, minus the cucumber. Sometimes, I will substitute the sausage with ground beef or chicken. I also use Gouda truffle cheese instead of Romano, with the addition of honey, red wine, fresh ground pepper and crushed red pepper. Onions and bell peppers, alone, are not spicy enough for me.

Refined taste!

I don't drink Alcohol, but I do cook with it, have made some wicked meals with a hint or two of various wines. Another favorite of mine is taking Soda like Cherry Cola, mixing it with Tabasco sauce, a smidge of Brown Sugar, mixing it, and coating meat with it. Steaks and Ribs are perfect for that concoction.

If you want to get real fancy, throw in some ground pepper, ketchup, and salt. The result is a rich tangy sauce.

You need a good old British Sunday roast dinner! But of roast lamb with rosemary and garlic, minted gravy, roast potatoes, carrots with thyme, brussel sprouts saut?ed with bacon... I'd even throw in some Yorkshire Puddings...

None of that spaghetti and garlic bread Italian crap 😉 just kidding!

I make an excellent Tiramisu, Heston Blumenthal style. That would go well with your 'dogs' dinner!

You should check out Heston. He's a perfectionist and he enjoys food science, right up your street fella!

Ha ha!

Yeah but you say 'Northern European' and I'm like 'errrr which countries are you referring to??' as we are all so different and I don't think the UK classes it's self as anything to do with Europe really aside from geographically and being within the European Union.

Food wise, we are not as meat orientated, in my opinion, as Germany, Poland, Hungary, Spain too. Nordic countries so that's North Europe to me is all fish really.

Up north in England they love their stodgy foods! Big, heavy meals. That's too much for my southern palette! Chips with gravy... Wtf?? Mushy peas... No thanks!

I like Italian too but after spending two weeks there over Xmas I didn't want to see another pizza, bread, pasta dish... Ever! Seriously, that's actually all they eat! The seafood was a bit of a let down to be honest.

Best place for food is China! More meats and fish though. Such an awesome standard over there. They don't fill it with sugar and crap either. Mind you, when they advertise the steak is from Australia you know it isn't! 😉

it was hard to post earlier because the site's wonky. lol

but doesn't Scotland have the pig's blood breakfast? i haven't tried it, but we've been to scotland several times over there, and had breakfast, but i usually order something less "meaty".

also was thinking more the lines around Germany, Belgium, Austria, holland, denmark, Luxumberg, and even the scandinavian countries, sweden and Norway. Even our uncle lives in switzerland, and they are very similar to Germany (but the Swiss borders)

Unfortunately I'm not much of a meat eater. However I have no problem cooking It for others. Take Hamburger for instance, when I stare at the ground beef or even a cooked patty a Cow is staring back at me, sometimes mooing. Total turn off!

The little meat I do eat from time to time is often wasteful on me as I can't enjoy it like everyone else. For me, meat compliments a meal but i don't "need it" to survive.
