Best Romantic Matches for Taurus

Taurus typically gets along well with fellow Earth signs Capricorn and Virgo, as well as Water signs Cancer and Pisces, due to their complementary qualities and shared values. These signs tend to create stable and harmonious romantic relationships with Taurus.

The Virgo/Pisces combo...

No to Cancers.
Caps? I don't know about that either. I might be willing to try one with a Pisces Moon.

Soulmate for a Taurus?

Insert {Virgo} for Earth...(Patience, love of work and family, stability)
Insert {Scorpio} for Water...(Emotional Reassurance that's consistent).
Insert {Libra} for Air....(Venusian Incentives that can be persuasive enough to get us out of a boring routine).
Insert {Leo} for fire.....(Strong Leadership where a Bull doesn't feel overwhelmed)

Insert {SOULMATE}
1. Patience.
2. Stability.
3. Love of work and family
4. Venusian, romantic, sweet, affectionate, artistic, emotional reassurance.
5. Emotionally strong individuals with a great deal of self-awareness. (know who you are and know what you want).

I used to think Cap, but their inability or unwillingness to express themselves emotionally to be quite childish and self-centered. I've had a taste of Cancer lately and I like their warmth and find peeling back their layers quite enjoyable.

I've become interested in a Taurus Sun, Cancer Moon, Rising Capricorn, Picses Venus. Seemingly, everything I like all rolled up into one. I'll keep you informed of the outcome.

@ PEITHO,

I was and it ended due to communication issues, mainly on her part. I needed something from her that she was unwilling to give and I was not willing to continue on without.

Hate to admit it but ... Virgo. (I only say Virgo because we would be the most insync and least amount of fights.) And because Virgos are drawn to Taurus. Virgos are too cold for me .

So why do you like them if they are too cold for you?

I didn't say that I like them or hate them only that as a relationship it works with very little effort. I've thought about it and I prefer Scorp-Sag cusp men and some Leo men (but those were friendships)

I'm surprised I don't hear more passion about earth/earth pairings. Seems that the similarities and differences between different earth signs would logically be perfect combination. It works great for water/water pairings.

I was with another Taurus off and on for 9 years and we could not get along. Just recently i looked up her chart and saw that she was Leo rising and Picses Moon and Venus. I don't necessarily attract Leos and I find Picses way too emotional. Much more than Cancers.

All three of my Cancer ex's were clingy, suffocating, utterly boring, and unintellectual. Basically all they ever wanted to do was watch television. I know Cancer is a *terrible* match for me. I find their lack of control over emotions to be extremely childish, manipulative, and ultimately unbearable. I'm sure there are some Taurus/Cancer couples that work. I just don't know of any. All of the Cancers I know seem to be very lonely individuals, with very few friendships, if they have any. And I can usually tie it directly to how clingy/needy/demanding they are with others.

I tried with Virgo with no fire placement and one air placement... *barf*.. But I'm very curious with Virgo sun/Aries moon since something about those placement does interest me.
Never met Cap male nor even want to though about this... Perhaps I do, but can't remember who he was nor I even care about that. (lol)

I noticed More Cap moons and Virgo moons, although Cap moon squares my Aries moon in which I find them self-centered & annoying (But without Square Aspect, I find them amazing & grounded, and more amazing is if they sextile my moon as I noticed that can be oddly possible)

What's in the rest of the chart definitely needs to match up and compliment what's in your chart. The more matches, the more sizzle, but that's my theory on it.

I don't mean "unintellectual" in the sense that is synonymous with unintelligent. They were plenty intelligent, but just had no interest in learning, expanding their mind, etc. I found it too boring and stagnant mentally. All of our activities revolved around their immediate family, home life, and really basic entertainment.

I wonder what else was in their charts. I have almost equal water/air/fire (zero earth), and am constantly reading up on stuff, etc. if it catches my attention. Everything from quantum theories to health and medical topics, and I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan/bookworm. That doesn't even include my interest in art and creativity/creating, or my interest in animals, or my interest in energy work, etc. I find too many men get offended and intimidated if they can't keep up with me in a conversation and have no idea what I'm talking about. They would prefer I shut up and just let them grope or fuck me. Call me an intellectual snob, but if you can't handle my intelligence, I have zero sexual interest in that person and my opinion of them goes south.

As for friends, I have many, but only a handful that are my closest and dearest, my lifelong friends. I prefer my alone time now and then so I can pursue my own interests and emotionally recharge. Sounds like all the cancers you were involved with were immature. Being needy of others is a sign of emotional immaturity, IMO.

I've seen your artwork somewhere on here. It is really good, especially the more recent stuff. Just having a single hobby like that is beyond any of the Cancers I've dated. I don't think the sign is inherently unintelligent, as I was saying. I think, maybe even aside from astrology, just making sure your partner has similar mental/intellectual nature/interests, is really important. For me, if a person doesn't read, I really should not date them. They'll bore me, and they'll get bored when I'm reading, not care about whatever I'm thinking about, discussing, etc.

Thank you, and I'm not done perfecting my art. Ooooohhhhhh the delights of OCD on details in art!! 😄

That's not my only pursuit. I also design jewelry and I'm a photographer. I also sew, but not as much as I'd like. Ditto painting. And I write! Suffice to say that I love to create. I HAVE to create!

Yes, having similar mental/intellectual interests is super important, and the same goes for communication style, etc. Communication is huge, actually. I can't stress enough how important it should be.

My ex didn't read much, unless it was strictly related to learning out of a text book. He hated it when I'd read, but he pretty much hated me doing anything that didn't center on him at all times, even if I did it when he wasn't around. I chalk that up to having severe insecurities, control issues, and in general being an asshole. The fact that I wouldn't change those things for him didn't help him any. The trick is to find the balance between enjoying/sharing each others interests and also retaining your own identity.

People always say Cancer and Taurus are the perfect match I can see how they could be. I don't know how they feel about us though.

Depends. Taurus usually has some good humor and is comfortable, but I haven't met any with water placements, and that would be the saving grace between the two sun signs. My ex has no water, and I have no earth, so I felt misunderstood and emotionally unsupported/loved. I'm too wet and he is too dry. lol

So it' important for the two people to have some of the same kind of placements as well? I have a moon in Aquarius and I know someone who has a moon in Sagittarius. I read that those two moons are compatible but that's water and fire.

Aquarius is air, not water. So that's air and fire.

Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Earth: Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo
Fire: Aries, Leo, Sag
Air: Libra, Aqua, Gem

leos are an acquired taste. however, if you get close with one they're some of the most loyal friends you can have. taurus and leo are incredibly different. but depending on the rest of the two charts you can really connect well. like i'm scorpio dominant and i find leos who are cancer dominant to be absolutely fantastic.

I need to figure out my brother's chart. I have no idea what his placements are, but I suspect they're similar to my ex, as personality wise they are extremely similar (I wont' tell my brother that, because he hates my ex and would take it as an insult lol).

That's great that you remained friends. I've never dated a Cancer, since most I've met were taken, but the energy has always felt like siblings: great for friendship and joking around, but not feeling the rest of it. Just too similar.

It's about the same in the compatibility. Same element pairings are the most compatible. Then the opposite elements are second (like water/earth or fire/air). The theory on that is that Air signs are the idea people, and fire signs are the action people, so the two feed off each others energy.

there are some people here who have extremely strong views of others' signs signs. and when taurus/cancer goes bad they get more butthurt than the average butthurt person. because the connection is so much stronger. when it goes south they hate each other. it's really weird to watch. you don't get a whole lot of "he was a nice guy. it just didn't work out." you get "that motherfucker was the most abuse evil emotionally retarded POS asshole i've ever met and HOW DARE HE."

Mine really was abusive. Everything from controlling the finances (while ruining them), to having 4 hr long screaming fits at me (I've been called all sorts of horrible things), to threatening to shoot my horses. It didn't start that way, though. All of that kicked in after we had kids. So, when I say that his ugly overshadowed his good points, it really did. Still does. And there was the cheating he did, too.....Suffice to say I'm happier without him.

Cancers unintellectual. Really? This coming from the laziest most boring zodiac sign.

I don't have lots of friends that is true. They never live up to my expectations. Ppl let you down so much. Its sad.

Nobody attacked Cancer as a sign like generalizing every Cancer more like speaking on the ones they know of. Do Cancers have a problem with us as a sign? News to me. I dont think there is a problem there. This is a thread for Taurs to speak on their opinions. I dont get why anyone would attack the bull when we are minding our own business.

You attack crab. Crab attacks back.

Let see. Bulls are stuck. Always plodding along. Very angry entities. And FAT!!!

The Cancers I know have so few friends that they put too much of a burden on the ones they do have; they expect too much of them. I actually get a long well with them, but I really prefer that they see me as a bit flaky and extremely busy. One missed text message, "happy birthday", etc., and I know I am in trouble.

That's what I'm saying, and I'm sure they're a great match for someone else. I'm fire dominant so maybe that has something to do with it. I tend to offend them way too much and then they never forgive, and we all know the sex is over at that point.

That's actually all very cool. I've actually seen you post up some interesting stuff when you aren't being crazy. I noted your interest in documentaries too. I *love* documentaries, and that's one of my favorite things to do with my Sag. If I'm going to watch the dumb box I'd prefer to learn something from it.

I don't think its about sun signs per se. Sometimes someone just has different interests than you do. Now that I think of it, I know a Cancer Sun w/Venus in Gem who is into all sorts of cool stuff.

I actually talk to two of my Cancer ex's still; we are good friends with really similar sense of humor. This is one of the things I love about Cancers. I think they are the funniest sign. Funniest current comedian *by far* IMO is Cancer Jim Gaffigan:

I have heard it said that Cancers and Sags get the most butthurt when anyone points out the negatives with their sign. I've found that to kinda hold true at least for the crabs. Relax, every sign sucks in some ways. Don't take your sun sign so seriously. You didn't choose it. If there's anything good about it, you didn't earn it. To say Cancers are the perfect partner? LOL!

Yeah, your detail work is actually very impressive. I actually love detail, but get lazier and lazier as I get older and tend towards more simplicity. It takes a lot of patience and focus to do the amount of detail you're doing. We do a very different sort of art (I went to school for animation, have mainly worked on comics and recently kids books, and am now into pop surrealist art mainly), but I posted some of my older work here:

It would be cool if the Art board here was more active, but it is SO dead. There is a Japanese artist I like named Ikeda Manabu. He is a Cancer and is one of the most detail-oriented artists I have ever seen in my life. I will post up some of his work in the Arts forum when I have a free minute. It is absolutely mind-blowing. Really I'm not sure there's anything like it in the history of art.

Thank you, truly. 🙂
Detail work is challenging, and that's part of what I love about it: pushing to get more and more detail, pushing to get better. It does take patience. OMG, I had a poodle portrait commission and I swear poodle hair had me wanting to pull my own hair out. ARGG!! But I did it! ~cue maniacal laughter~ I have a a drawing I want to do that is a naked gal in a bathtub, half submerged. The water ripples, the reflections, the actual subject herself.....omg, I'm going to be in artistic heaven when I get to that one (need to get some other commissions done first). It's not just the detail, though. It's also about capturing the essence of the soul and the feelings it can invoke. That's what I strive for. I get attached to my work. A bit of me goes into it.

That's very cool that you went to school for animation! I looked at your link and I love your "doodles". I wouldn't call them doodles, though. Those characters are pure geeky awesomeness! They should have their own comics. Can you imagine those as costumes for a Con? I can!! I think I geeked myself.

I was reading some of the comments, but I'll add my input over there, rather than here. 🙂

Ikeda Manabu is ridiculously good at detail! I didn't know he was a Cance

That's exactly why I love virgo women they make you work for their love the icy side is for the fools who can't see the incredible glow that hides hidden from the masses.the Virgo icyness to me is just a good challenge to win there heart if your worthy enough. And I like a good challenge that makes the reward that much sweeter and a Virgo is the best reward for a Taurus who is looking for that one dependible person that every earth sign needs to feel happy.

I usually find them warm all the time but it makes sense because Libras do tend to think a lot. How did you meet? Who did the pursuing and who made it exclusive?

Nah.. He's usually warm with other people but once you gotten closer to him you'll feel his icyness. We're officemates. He did pursue me but he hesitated at first. He continued the courting again and so we finally made it as a couple.
