To me (and I'm not a good judge) it looks like you are friends.
My partner would only show his quite conservative side to me when we were starting out. The only innuendo came from my side (although he played along). He was always the gentleman. Definitely no talking about other women in a sexual way. He was shy and polite.
He was more like the guy who says he has a crush on you.
But i have a Taurus male friend and we are like what you describe. Quick fire wit, trying to out gross each other, constantly teasing, taking shots at each other. Talking about good looking men we both know (he is gay), constantly laughing.

i dont know, i would want the person i am in a relationship to be my best friend first and foremost. someone i find intellectually stimulating as well as being attracted. the behaviour of the guy who told me he had a crush on me was really a turn off for me. there was no fun. nothing stimulating even though he was much more attractive than "dave"
don't get me wrong, my partner is my best friend but it took a while to let his walls down. the person that i met those years ago is not the person he shows to me today. not many people see the real him. he's fun and funny. he is smart and kind and sees everything! he is witty and full of character and personality.
but he also is shy though and he is cautious. he treated our budding friendship like a child who carries something precious. he didn't want to ruin things or frighten me off if he showed the real him. these guys are insecure! it's a shame. they don't realise how amazing they are.

I'm not a Taurus boy but a Taurus girl and as you can see by my nickname,I'm a libra rising with moon and venus in gemini.I don't know if I'm the best person to give you advice but I've noticed that he is has more air in him like me,so maybe we are quite similar taurus type.
