Because when you finally deal with the emotions, it brings out the worst in me and manifest itself in other ways.

My emotional state :deep hatred, pain, emotionally hurt (unrequited love), and failure (pain). I can't even focus on getting my life back into order because I have all of this stuff moving around in my heart that i'm ignoring and the feelings are not going away. Because these feelings haven't been dealt with I can't seem to move forward no matter how I feel.

What's stopping you from dealing with them, if dealing with them is what you feel you need to do in order to move on?

For me personally, I've come to believe that, sometimes, there's just no hope in "dealing" with things that are bothering me. "Dealing" with them --> thinking about them --> putting energy into them = only making me feel worse, if I'm getting no results that is. Good old "out of sight, out of mind" seems to work for me in any scenario, over time, but it really does work. Physically distancing myself from whatever's causing me inability to move forward/negativity in my head to help the actual, mental healing go faster. But that's just me.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm in the same boat and I can't really do anything productive while I'm suffering emotionally like I am. I have no idea how to "deal" with emotions. I don't know what people are even talking about when they say things like this. "You need to deal with your issues, feelings, problems, etc.", or "You need to get to the root of the problem". People act like they are professional psychologists and they actually know how to do these things for themselves, when psychologists really don't either. I just think that maybe, as bulls, we're different in some ways. We suck at handling this stuff, and we suffer for longer periods of time.

One thing that I know that helps is talking about things - just venting it. If you have friends or family that will actually listen and be patient, understanding that they can't fix it and you just need an ear from time to time, its good to just regularly express what you're going through. I have a Virgo and Libra who are the best for this. Exercise helps me a lot, prayer helps me, and also something I've found recently when my moods are really low, is watching some sort of comedy - whether standup, a really funny movie, etc. Its almost impossible to be down when something is legitimately making you laugh.

All so true for me also.

She's a Taurus and she speaks on trying to stay positive.

As an earth sign, I understand...trust me. Writing helps me release. I woke up in emotional mood this morning, and after reading this thread and feeling what I felt, I decided to write. I kept writing things that I "thought" was bothering me, until I hit a spot of what the real issue is. I stayed writing on it and began to release that pent up emotion. Now that I know, I can work towards it and hopefully end this downward emotional spiral. It's the only way I figure out how to focus on what the issue is.

How do I deal with intense emotions?

My Moon is in Gemini....

I'm able to rationalize and detach myself from the situation....Assess, make peace with it, and accept it. I find my own inner closure, practice forgiveness, and accept that it simply just wasn't meant to be. In some weird distorted way, my emotions are not really dealt with, just hot water pouring its way into a cave at about 0 degree Celsius. The feeling quickly cools off, and then I find more diverse 'unique' types of people that appeal to my mental psyche. It may be read quickly as a dis-associative emotion. It's not love, hate, sadness, or regret, but an admirable, neutral feeling, a reminder that at one point, you felt a particular fondness for this individual.

I can also agree with the 'writing' aspect of dealing with emotions. I write quite often....

This is true for most Bulls.
An investment where there is no return...it's simply not an investment....

Emotions without the certainty of a stable relationship, are just fleeting emotions that will eventually dissolve with time and a greater love from someone else.

This 'rationale' is the method to our madness when dealing with the human heart.

People don't see this with Bulls. The hot & cold method is a 'trying' method.
