so I've know this guy for about a year as an acquaintance, always thought he was attractive but ever since I met him he was seeing/dating this girl so obviously I never went there because I don't interfere in others relationships. I was always hearing about their problems so I gathered it was a rocky relationship. He broke up with her a month a go saying that "she was crazy" and that he couldn't handle her. Out of no where he started talking to me 1 on 1 here and there, he told me he always thought I was attractive and also said "we should hang out more" week or two later we went out for ice-cream, it was good felt like a friendly vibe we just hung out and had a chat. after we saw each other 1 on 1 he sent me a text saying: "what would you say if I said I should of kissed you then?" and I replied saying "tbh I think you're attractive and I'm into you but seeing as you just got out of a relationship I would of pulled away as I don't want to be a unintentional rebound" he said he respected my honesty and that he "just attracted to me".
that was a week ago. today he texted me again and towards the end of the conversation he asked to see me tomorrow for dinner, I said yes.
I'm really confused, why is he still wanting to hang out 1 on 1 after I told him that, is he still trying to get with me (as a rebound) or is he being genuine ?
