Star Trek Discovery

Anyone watch it? Granted I had some low expectations going in, it seems pretty good. Very similar to the old star treks and pretty decent sci-fi.

Yes. I watch it. 2nd season was ok but this 3rd season has gotten better. I am in the process of watching all the star trek shows and movies over again. Struggling through the original but trying to get thru the first season cause I have a feeling it gets better. Already rewatched TNG and watched Enterprise for the first time and also started Deep Space 9. Next will be Voyager when I'm done with DS9 and original.

Oh I also watch Picard but that had only been one season so far and won't be back for a minute thanks to the pandemic but its decent and has potential.

that and picard look like they're too woke for their own good. I don't trust modern networks with scifi

nah original ST never gets good, you just watch it for the lore and/or if you've got a fetish for 60s stuff.

There are a few very important episodes though, like the one with the pon farr that you don't want to miss

I watch it and I love it! My fave character is Phillipa tho.

Lmao good to know. Still on the first season but only maybe 2 episodes have really kept my attention. I did watch the first movie and realized I should finish the series b4 I watch the 2nd one cause it obviously takes place after the series finished.

Some of the fighting scenes crack me up tho. But I don't like all the anti woman stuff since all the other star treks are pro women and all that.

I think it's better to watch the original serie only AFTER you've been familiar with star trek, preferably after TNG, since you'll be more interested in learning about the origins once you already care about the universe.

I don't think you need to watch anything before watching the movies, they've been made to stand on their own. Not all the movies are good though.

Oh yeah don't miss the TOS episode about khan, probably the best episode in TOS, and pretty much a documentary about me

I've been following it, I think phillippa might be my favorite as well. They are going to spin a show off for her character after this season ends.
