February 21 1985
It's Den and Angie's wedding anniversary. Pauline and Arthur's secret is a secret no more. The police have started an investigation in Albert Square.
February 26 1985
DS Rich conducts more interviews. Ali and Lou are both lucky at games of chance. Is Den’s alibi the address of a lover?
February 28 1985
DS Rich continues with his investigation. Dr Legg is on the warpath. Den strikes a deal regarding Nick. Sharon and Angie both overdo the flirting. Will the party be a success?

Lol, I'm closer to Eastenders than the country bumpkins.
I've never seen the early Eastender episodes, they have a certain charm to them.
If you want Eastenders at it's peak, watch it from 1998 - 2002.

Michelle gets an unwelcome surprise. Sue and Ali get new neighbours. Lou's mood is changeable and DS Rich visits the Fowler's.

Lofty is under pressure. Mary is suspicious about the history of her flat. The police conduct a search which leaves Tony ransacked. Mark gets into some bad company.

We used to get some but really not a lot. Although now we get a lot thanks to streaming services. We used to get EastEnders here in the 2000s. But I dont recall ever getting any other of the british soaps on tv back then. I was able to watch episodes of corrie from the 90s and 2000s on youtube tho. Then I also got watch Hollyoaks which became my fave of the bunch at that time. Now both Corrie and Hollyoaks are on Hulu here for the new episodes

I can't remember well (I'm no big Enders fan) but I grew up on that run they had together. You never knew if they would team up to kill other people, or kill each other.

I think it ended before 2000 cuz I dont remember Grant on the show in 2000. Steve Owen was more of the person that was a thorn in Phil''s side by then.

Ah yeah, I did enjoy Steve going at it with Phil and others. He had a lot of sides to him, without really needing to say anything in a scene. Just a look from him was enough to know he's up to ten different things at once.

Yeah Steve was the reason I kept watching the show at first really. I thought he was a pretty interesting character for sure

Mary is very troubled. Dr Legg is on the warpath again and is looking for Lofty for his rent payment. A phone call makes Sharon suspicious. Kelvin is at his wits end, and Pete and Den are up to old tricks.

Angie and Kathy let their feelings known. Pauline gets some test results. Mary is looking for work. DS Rich has more things to investigate. Can Nick Cotton help Mary out? Is Tony the latest person sick of Nick?

Naima gets a terrible shock when the store is trashed and vandalised with racist graffiti.. Things are tense between Angie and Den thanks to Den's affair. Sharon invites Kelvin on a date. Lofty is still being hassled by Nick, who tells him something truly shocking. Why does Ali's day end badly?
March 26 1985
Andy O'Brien is troubled by a proposition. Lofty is subject to blackmail. Pete and Den are hatching yet another scheme. A secret meeting is organised, that has a surprising ending. Can Tony, Ali & Saeed help form a plan against Nick?
March 28 1985
Everyone is concerned about Mark. Mark and Ethel find out just how bad Nick can be. Dr Legg talks to DS Rich about Nick and some local problems, but finds that DS Rich has bigger concerns.
April 2 1985
Naima starts using the launderette with Saeed's blessing and Saeed decides to experience some real 'cockney' living. Lofty's money worries look set to worsen. Ethel babysits for Mary with frightening results.
April 4 1985
Mary is in a panic and everyone joins the search. Den cements plans for his holiday and competition between Michelle and Sharon for Kelvin's affections heats up. Pete is unhappy with Ian's career plans.
April 9 1985
Mary appears unwell. Angie and Den talk about the Vic's bottom line, but can't agree on how to boost business. Angie eventually sends Den off to check out a strip act. Pauline leads Naima astray. Debbie upsets Mary. Ian finally snaps.
April 11 1985
Nick is on the news. Lou has come around and Den is determined to get away to Spain. Naima and Saeed are getting along better. Dr Legg tries to help Mary get better accommodation, and finds out something that bothers him. Lou comforts Ian.

Ali gets a happy surprise. Dr Legg counsels Lofty to be a better neighbour. Lou's talk with Pete and Kath doesn't go the way she expected. Sue is getting fed up with all the calls for Ali at the Cafe.

Lou is up to her old tricks. Lofty spends more time with Mary and Annie. Debbie and Andy start planning a campaign. Pauline and Arthur celebrate having time to themselves and Den offers Arthur some work.
April 23 1985
The kids head back to school, except Mark. Lofty's latest purchase causes a few giggles and Ethel debuts as cook for the Vic. Angie takes flirting with one particular customer to a new level. Saeed impresses Naima.
April 25 1985
Den gets caught out and Angie goes out. Mary is getting desperate for money and Den tells Angie he has to spend another week in Spain. The identity of the prank caller to the cafe is revealed.
April 30 1985
Ali is told who's been calling the cafe - but will he tell Sue who it is? Lou and Michelle return. Mary gets some work and it's Angie's turn to get caught out. Ethel's pies cause a stir and the Fowler's call the police.
May 2 1985
Angie decides to sack Ethel. Deb worries about what to serve Sayeed and Naima. Den is due back but Tony doesn't want things to change. Sharon decides to confront Angie about her recent behavior.
May 7 1985
Lou is unwell. Den arrives back at the Vic, but doesn't get the welcome he expected. Michelle gets a taste of her own medicine. Someone comes looking for Mary. New information gets the 'Save Our Square' committee mobilized again.
May 9 1985
Kath celebrates a birthday. Lou starts doing her own research into what is wrong with her - much to the amusement of others. Sharon is upset about Den and Angie's goings ons. Ian's film night surprises everyone.
May 14 1984
Den smells a rat. Everyone finally takes Lou serious about being ill. Mary blames Lofty for being found. Calvin and Michelle do some pushing and pulling. Den and Angie come clean with each other and Den reveals more than Angie wants to hear.
May 16 1985
Lou has shingles. Mary apologises to a relieved Lofty. Angie and Den come to an agreement, for Sharon's sake - but will they honour it? Dinner at Debbie and Andy's opens new doors for Naima.
May 21 1985
Naima has her first driving lesson. Den and Angie promise Sharon things are going to change. Lofty's well meaning gesture is not welcomed by Mary.
May 23 1985
Lou wakes up screaming. Den is disappointed with himself. Dr Legg shares some deep concerns about Pauline with Arthur. Michelle gets a new look. Tony warns Michelle off Kelvin, meanwhile Sharon moves in for the kill.
May 28 1985
Michelle and Kelvin plan a night out. Saeed and Naima's pledge to discuss everything together hits a snag. Sharon tries to get on the pill. Arthur tries to talk to Michelle about Kelvin.
May 30 1985
Sharon is in Michelle's bad books. Nothing is going right for Andy. Ali goes to see Den about a car. Lou's demands are getting everyone down and Pauline is still not getting the support she needs, leading to possibly tragic circumstances.

Ali puts on the charm, but his gambling issue seems to take a bad turn.

Ali's luck changes. Angie and Den continue to quarrel.
