I agree with Jammerwheels. It’s all about confidence. Women can smell weakness off of us like it’s some stink.
Confidence is also charisma to me as well. If you know how to talk to people and project a sense of inner strength and balance, it’s attractive, especially to someone you are romantically interested in. You said you felt insecure with this particular woman and I’m sure she sensed it as well. Unfortunately, I don’t have any input on how to save yourself from a bad first impression.

There was this beautiful lady who flirted with me a few times, like 2-3 times, and even expressed interest in dating me. I got scared coz this girl's too beautiful. Actually, she wasn't the first beautiful girl who intimated in me the desire to secure a relationship with me. I was just the insecure type who never knew my worth (until a beauty queen/title-holder dated me and even told me I'm handsome that I realized that I'm actually a good catch lol).
Because I felt insecure, I did not believe her... that I think she was faking it, that I was bound to get cheated on by this extremely gorgeous girl. I didn't know until last year that she might just be the real thing but I let it go.
