Anybody had a chance to fire an StG 44? I did over the weekend and I gotta say. The Germans make guns that are masterpieces. They really gotta be one of the top countries that make great guns. Second to Belgium, Switzerland, and the good old U.S of A. Though I can see why German soldiers used this in WWII since it was made to deliver power at a range between 0-400 meters. But the recoil on this rifle is heavy. Not as heavy as a full caliber rifle round but I say heavy enough to match the AK-47 in recoil heaviness. Anyone ever fire an StG 44? Could you tell me what you thought about it?
